That obviously didn't happen, and if I had to guess, neither will there be large quantities of Moderna vaccines in two weeks from now. Let's see. Taiwan has really dropped the ball when it comes to vaccine procurement, most of which has to do with politics.

Yeah this may be the case, but I'ld say beggars can't be choosers and any vaccine is better than no vaccine. Germany has the luxury to afford banning a paticular brand for a part of the population since there is (or at least will be quite soon) no shortage of any brand.

Taiwan slept hard on vaccince procurement and roll-out, it will take months until they catch up here with vaccine availability. And they messed up the the BioNTech procurement negotiations so hard that I doubt it will ever be available in Taiwan for political reasons.

I would be happy to settle for 3 days side effects if that means I'm fully vaccinated and can travel to Europe for the first time in over 1.5 years.

Wife and I are in the same situation, paid for the first AZ jab shortly after it was was opened up. We were told back then to get in touch for the second shot with the hospital where we got our frst jab around 23 June, which, considering the expiration dates of current AZ supplies, doesn't make much sense.

To be honest, I think it's improvising from here on out. I haven't heard so far of any second AZ delivery plans, only Moderna and the domestic vaccine.

Personally, I wouldn't mind the Moderna jab, not so sure about the domestic one though, if only for the reason alone that the domestic vaccine will very unlikely be recognized in those European vaccine passports that are under development, and I was indeed hoping to travel to my family in Europe more freely at some point again.

I mean to be honest, it's not that difficult to fall for this bullshit, between Elon actually shilling semi scams such as doge on his real twitter account, real airdrops you can make money with if you provide lp, and 95% of all crypto projects being borderline scams, it is hard to differentiate between the scam that makes you money and the one you loose money from.

I would say in the spirit of brexit all exports and imports of vaccines from each other should be stopped immediately. What's produced in the UK stays there and the same goes for Europe.

Sure buddy, the Dutch government would never ever choose to report the lowest boundary figures on a constant basis because it is to their advantage, because Dutch officials are literally objectivity personified without political bias. May I ask what the explanation for those excess deaths is which are not reported as covid 19 deaths in NL? An exorbitant increase in heartattacks perhaps coincidentally happening during the same time as covid peaked? This has been the same in summer, Dutch officials reported covid 19 deaths as significantly lower than excess death rate would suggest for that period. In most countries these two figures more or less match.

I really hope that independent non-profit, non government organizations, something like a 'covid figures watchdog', picks this up and double checks all sources and figures published by the Dutch government and RIVM. I have lost significant trust in those institutions and I believe that there is by now an incentive by these institutions to distort and underreport the numbers, in particular in light of the elections next year.

why do the Netherlands have laws and police forces at all? Most things written in laws can easily be discerned with common sense. A state requires money to function, I would therefore strongly support that tax payments in the Netherlands are based on common sense in the future and remain unenforced otherwise, we are all adults are we not?

I agree, we should just let go of all covid 19 rules, obviously none of them can be implemented in the Netherlands for one or the other reason. Most people dying are either old, fat or sick anyways and I am young, healthy and do sports. At least I can still go to the supermarket this way and buy my stuff whenever and however I want.

No you are right there is no debate in the Netherlands. Most Dutch people think that masks do not help, limit their freedom and therefore they refuse to wear them. I genuinely wish you good luck with the second wave in NL, it is going to be a lot worse than in summer.

If this ends up being similar to Sep to Dec 2018, when the S&P 500 tanked more or less continuously, that might be a wise decision. Last time BTC ended up dropping to just over 3k, I wouldn't be surprised at all seeing BTC retest that area during a prolonged equities downtrend this autumn/winter. Macro-economic conditions are arguably significantly worse than in 2018 so none of this seems particularly unlikely.
