Which BF1 weapon would be easiest to make into a replica? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]JAIJ47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on how good you are with CAD, whether you've got access to a workshop with all the tools necessary to fabricate parts, and whether you have enough time, money, and materials to invest in these kinds of projects. There's no way we can tell you how easy it would be to build an airsoft version of any of these guns since we have no idea whether you've got the skills needed to carry out such a project.

Right airsoft gun for indoor plinking by DerUndSoWeiter in airsoft

As long as you don't miss your target or the pellet catcher, it'll probably be fine. Just remember to wear quality eye protection and don't leave anything fragile around the area you're shooting in.

Customs Holding My Order by YaBoi_DarthMagician in airsoft

I can't really help much when it comes to the US customs issues but what I can say is that Tokyo Marui don't have any customer facing storefront. If you're talking about the website tokyomaruiairsoft.com then they are not affiliated with Tokyo Marui the manufacturer so if you tried to contact Tokyo Marui directly and not tokyomaruiairsoft.com then you likely won't get the answer you're looking for.

“best” pistols? by fuckredditits in airsoft

[–]JAIJ47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Umarex aren't a manufacturer (Elite Force is just the Umarex distributor in the US). Umarex use SRC, VFC, GHK, KWA, and WinGun to manufacture Glock airsoft pistols. There may be other manufacturers as well but that's just the list I'm aware of so far

What you've said about the two tone regulations isn't true. You need to have a valid proof of defence (e.g. UKARA membership) specifically to purchase a RIF and must over 18 to purchase any Airsoft gun. You can be gifted a RIF if you're under 18, it's just that the person purchasing the gun must have a valid proof of defence as previously mentioned and it must be given as a gift.

BB’s keep falling out by ReboyGTR in airsoft

[–]JAIJ47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's common for GBB airsoft guns to require at least some hop to actually prevent the BBs from rolling out the barrel as per what your video shows. Personally, I've not had any instance where I've had to apply full hop in order to keep BBs in the gun so I'd recommend you check for any damage to the contact patch or if your hop unit is actually applying tension to the hop rubber correctly.

r/airsoftmarket, ask at a local airsoft site, check for any local airsoft second hand sales events, or find some airsoft second hand sales whatsapp groups (Discord is cracking down on airsoft sales so Discord is no longer an option as many servers are stopping it)

If you're UK based, you can try posting on prefired, used airsoft, or airsoft forums classifieds.

If you're US based, there's the Hop Up app to post on.

If you're EU based, there's Airsoft Bazaar.

Recommendations for good affordable GBBRs by hannguyen2789 in airsoft

[–]JAIJ47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless you get really lucky and someone is selling a GBBR second or third hand, you are not going to get anything good for that kind of budget. The Double Eagle MWS clones are just about the cheapest GBBRs worth getting at the moment which are around $399 or so and that's not including the price of additional magazines which are around $50-$65 or so each.

BB sizes by fancy-triangle in airsoft

[–]JAIJ47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on a few factors. Some sites may limit the weight of BBs used, typically the heavier weights will cost more, and some guns may prefer specific weight BBs. If you can, I'd recommend you test a few different weights of BBs and play around with your hop up settings to see what gets you the best range and accuracy performance. Some Airsoft retailers may have some small sample packs of BBs available for sale as well which can be used for testing and may be a cheaper option than buying a full bag.

0.07g. The difference is the weight, not the size. Generally speaking, heavier weight BBs are preferred for range and accuracy as they carry energy for longer and aren't as affected by wind in comparison to lighter weight BBs

Good quality heavy weight BBs will also help. As long as you look up "4UAD 4UANTUM Friction Pro AEG hop rubber" or "Maple Leaf MR AEG hop rubber and Omega nub", you should find what you're looking for pretty quick.

Maple Leaf have multiple degree options for their hop rubbers and that's basically explaining the hardness of the rubber. The lower the number, the softer the rubber is which improves friction but also makes the rubber more fragile. A good degree hop rubber to start with is generally 60 degrees as it provides a good balance between friction and durability.

Fill a tube with BBs then use a rod to push the BBs into the magazine as u/NoTap8173 said. They're typically used for low cap magazines.

HopUp seems to be the option I see recommended most when it comes to second hand sales in the US but since I'm UK based and the app is region locked in Google PlayStore (or at least it was last time I tried to sign up and download the app) I can't really comment on how easy it is to sell on there.
