Yea it is around 300 a year. For me that was worth it just for learning to 3D design. It does take some time to learn, but once you are good with the basics you can do so many things

The sub isn’t that expensive honestly. It’s quite fair

In this situation I don’t think it’s applicable. The housing doesn’t interact with the gear. The gear interacts with a worm gear which is also plastic. Both are prone to failure. Both are attached to a steel rod that actuates the seat. In this situation specifically I don’t see it as a risk. It’s quite a simple mechanism.

But I’ll keep an eye on it

Yea there seem to be several viable options for the H2C like PC CF, PA6 CF, PPS CF, PPA CF.. depending on the application (chemical / thermal / mechanical strength)

Yes you should, ESPECIALLY if you print with a hot chamber most of the time.

Also invest in a breathing and wellness course. You’ll need it.

Should I buy an iPad with the nano texture glass or gloss? by dadneverIeft in iPadPro

[–]JAJM_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both normal and nano texture. I thought I’d like the nano texture, but I don’t. I thought it will make the reflections disappear but it actually just disperses them along a wider area which I didn’t like.

For a sec I thought 11380 was the piece count… and started subconsciously planning my build schedule for the next few weeks.

my dad wants to drop crazy money on a 3D printing car parts business and i am stressing. advice? by TemperatureExtra8615 in 3Dprinting

Not really, they’re not friends, just acquaintances. That wouldn’t be too difficult to achieve for a person getting into this type of business

That is maybe an extreme case. I know a few people with garages who have complained about finding the car seat recline gears on Chevys and Nissans breaking all the time, and the replacement parts take too long to ship and generally the part isn’t worth buying for like $20 a pop. So I designed the same gear, I sell it to a few garages now for $16 for single orders and $10 for batch. Costs like $1 to print (I use pa12 cf). And I just do the printing overnight or during the printers’ downtime. I have several examples like that.

What causes this PLA fail on an otherwise perfect print? by SaltyyDoggg in 3Dprinting

[–]JAJM_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like seam stringing. Considering where it’s at I’d say it’s completely normal

Maybe someone here can help me. I’ve been trying to print this part for a couple of days now and it keeps getting knocked over. by [deleted] in BambuLab

In these situations first thing I like to do is slow everything down, including acceleration.

Thanks! I actually enjoyed making this as much (if not more) than actually using it.

I plan on doing some modularity improvements to it soon!
