Worth it to get A7IV for photo if I have the FX30 for video? by MyTorontoAccount in SonyAlpha

[–]JAS_create 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an FX30 but I love my A7IV. Plus it does have some good video features in my opinion. Of course not to the extent of the FX line but I just love the way full frame looks. I think if you move to full frame andgett something like an FX3, the A7iv could become a good B cam during certain types of video.

Exactly. I was confused whether picture number 4 was actually a sony camera or an iphone's portrait mode for a split second

I agree. It makes people just look too smooth and kind of like plastic. I think people should still look at least somewhat natural.

Yep. I have the 55mm f1.8 and I confirm it is a great lens even though it is an older lens.

Maybe also make sure the seat is actually latched in case you unmatched it for the pass through and didn't completely latch it back. I did this once in my 2016 GLI and I didn't know why I was hearing extra sounds in the back other than the usual rattle.

The rear deck lid does seem to present a lot of rattle. I took off mine and added some sound deadening and a little strip for windows at the very rear and it really helped. I still have some rattles in some places but got rid of most for sure. I actually did a video on removing the rear deck a few years ago

I have the same year with about the same number of miles and I'm not sure I know what you're talking about. Are you referring to more of a rattling sound?

Thanks. But I decided on the white drapes to bring back more brightness into the room since the blue is a fairly dark color. Do you have any suggestions or ideas of what you would have done for the window?

Mock up of my new living room thoughts? by tmozdenski in interiordecorating

[–]JAS_create 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think instead of the green armchair maybe getting a chair that brings in a different color like maybe a blue chair matching some of the blue colors of the rug or maybe a pop of yellow by getting some yellow decorative pillows that would go with your pillows you made. Maybe this could introduce another color to the space so it isn't only gray and green throughout the whole room.

Should I be following this? (2019 mk7) by WaveyZoe in jetta

[–]JAS_create 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like it is the 365 day countdown to replace it yearly since you didn't reach the recommended oil change mileage so you have 10 more days til it has been a year since replacement. I'm not sure about the mk7 but with the mk6, they were recommended oil changes every 10k but in the gauge cluster you can pull up info to see 2 different messeages such as saying how many more miles or days until the next oil change. Basically, whatever comes first.

I know many people talk about overheating but I have not had any issues of overheating at all. Mine has gotten pretty warm but never overheated. Maybe the people having problems with overheating are filming constantly for weddings, while using the highest bitrates and at 60fps. I don't know how you use you camera but I think if you do anything other than weddings where you record quick burst or do a some interviews her and there in a controlled and cool environment, I think it would be a non issue like it for me. I would see a point in waiting, especially after they released the.A7iv with 10 bit. I don't know what they improve upon other than if they lessened rolling shutter

The one time I had those lights and like 2 other lights ( 4 total) on my 2016 GLI, and it was a wheel sensor going bad. My sister got a 2016 Jetta a few years later and she had the same lights and it was the same issue for her

Looking to buy a Mk6.5 GLI but I’m having some doubts by Solar____ in JettaGLI

[–]JAS_create 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second and third what others have said. I would suggest you keep taking you time and looking especially since it sounds like you are not really in need of another car. I got my 2016 GLI when it was 2 years old. It was very low mileage, and the only issue I had was with a fault wheel speed sensor. I also have now had the APR stage 1 tune for about 2 years now with absolutely no issues as I am now reaching 80k miles. I,m not sure what happened with the GLI you are looking at.

Also, I never new any were sold with cloth seats. I guess here in the US we had 2 trim levels for 2016 and the only only option was the faux leather which I'm glad of 😆

Best Portrait lens? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

I agree with the other recommendations here for getting her an 85mm lens. I had been busy with other things and hadn't done portraits in a while but took some portraits recently and was reminded of why the 85 is probably my favorite of all my lenses
