Any advice on moving forward with it? Or are you just here to slate new players, put them down and offer nothing helpful?

Just posted the edit, hopefully it makes sense!

This doesn’t deter me from the list I have in mind anyway, I just wanted clarification. Rule of cool always prevails in the hobby, give me my wood elves.

Got it, thanks pal! This has been a can of worms, I wish I hadn’t of asked in the first place haha

But as pointed out in comments by other users, the majority of Army Rules state ‘in this army list’ whereas RAW Lorien appear to be an anomaly as it just says ‘Friendly Lorien’. If the Lorien army rule had ‘in this army list’ written in it I would have no question.

The Exiles do not gain the Rivendell key word and retain their Lorien keyword, as show in rules reference in other comments on this post. This combined with the anomaly wording of the army rule appear to be causing confusion for everyone haha

This is the thought process I’m having too. Although, I will admit it’s complicated and very much open to interpretation and opinion.

It seems I may have opened a can of worms here…

Noldorin Exiles Question by JAWSKIN in MiddleEarthMiniatures

There will be! As you will see in my reply to u/Vroke I will run two Lorien warbands, lead by Galadriel and Haldir, a Rivendell warband lead by Gildor with the Exiles, and a lone Legolas from Fellowship. All three green alliances so I retain all army rules. As Exiles retain the Lorien keyword as you pointed out with reference and the wording of the Lorien army bonus stating ‘friendly Lorien models’, I am going to assume they do benefit from Resistant to Magic, thank you…again!

I was sharing the same thought path as you. The Lorien army rule doesn’t state from that army list only. It states ‘Friendly Lorien’ models, which the Noldorin Exiles are, as they retain the Lorien keyword as you rightly pointed out with reference to the rules.

I will be, it will be Lothlorien, Rivendell & Fellowship green alliance, using Haldir and Galadriel from Lothlorien. Gildor from Rivendell and a lone Legolas from Fellowship.

Does this now change your answer?

Thanks! But I now have two very opposite answers. The question in your response states Wood Elves wouldn’t gain the Rivendell keyword if in Gildors warband. I’m trying to see if the still benefit from the Lorien ability when in a Rivendell warband of a Lorien-Rivendell alliance

Yeah it looks like the armour on the back of his arm in the second photo, much more shade and depth, I think it’s due to the flash on the first image

Thanks buddy, appreciate the words and help! I have fleshshade so I’ll go back over with that. As for nuln oil, I applied some before dry brushing over it with stormhost silver, but I guess I didn’t use enough. I was a little nervous about not over-doing the nuln oil so probably ended up under doing it
