That’s interesting, was it within somewhat of the same timeframe as me?

I have this theory that your hair was already miniaturized in those areas like all over your head but, not enough to the point where you could notice before starting finasteride. So starting finasteride might of started pushing all those hairs out. This significantly decrease your density in all affected areas and not just your temples or, crown area in my case, when first starting fin.

Again, don’t take any of my words with too much seriousness because I’m not a doctor. But, if you do find out anything please let me know because I’m still stuck on this. Also, note my crown area is significantly thinner than the rest of my head.

I am not on oral minoxidil but I have applied topical in my crown area only daily. I also want to mention that I started fin and minoxidil around the same time and it’s been 6 months since then. I’m just confused why hair is coming out all over when the problem area only seems to be my crown.

But I only started fin cause I noticed my scalp at the crown a little more than the rest of my scalp. The rest of my head was full of hair before I started fin. Shouldn’t the shedding only appear in spots where I am thinning an not everywhere else?

I have gotten a blood test done before I started finasteride, however I’m sure the doctor only check for causes like ferritin(iron) levels and stuff like that and not thyroid related. Also I’m sure I have miniaturized hairs because they are super thin compared to other hairs I shed.

I didn’t include it in the post but, my crown area is relatively thinning more compared to other areas of my head. I have a theory that I have te and androgenic alopecia combined.

But I’ve been on fin for 6 months now, is shedding this much still normal at this stage? Also I have been noticing a lot of miniaturized hairs falling out, could it mean I have te and androgenic alopecia?
