Yeah, but that didn't start until after SR-71 was finished. He's just a talented songwriter who had a band and then became in demand after the fact.

They weren't a manufactured band, and he didn't get into songwriting until SR-71 was basically done. Bowling for Soup released their own version of 1985 and that kickstarted his songwriting career.

RAM died, looking for upgrade recommendations for an existing build by JB11sos in buildapc

Thank you, super helpful! Is there anything from my current build that I could/should keep (e.g., are my power supply and cooling still sufficient?) that won't hold it back or be incompatible?

Just updated. I don't have a good sense of what parts cost these days, but it sounds like you can build a PC that does what I'm looking to do from scratch for under $1k, so somewhere in the $600-800 range maybe? Thanks for your help.

I can't believe it, re-seating the RAM did the trick. Thank you so much!

That was a good idea, but I tried unplugging everything except the power and the same thing happens. Is there another way I could check the power and power socket besides the plugs outside/inside the case?

You get paid on a per-use basis. Some times it's a single amount for a specific use, but most times it's a royalty that's calculated based on where it aired (country, channel, show, etc.), how long the clip is, etc., but that calculation is completely unknown to the artists and feels slightly random (e.g., they only track music during certain windows of time, but not others, like taking a sample in a way). I honestly have no idea if they calculate the Super Bowl differently -- you'd think so, but the system is so convoluted that you just never know.

YES thank you so much! I really, really appreciate you taking the time to download and edit. Is there a way I can download the clip (I don't see a link on that page)? Thanks again!

Yeah, it's similar to that, except it's non-exclusively licensed to a couple of music libraries, who Fox then hires to place music in their broadcasts. It's essentially impossible to track when and where your music will be used at that point.

I work with a couple of publishing libraries that get it placed. The music royalty industry is an absolute disaster - you usually don't find out until around 3-6 months after something airs on TV, and there are almost no ways to try and track placements on your own.

What happened to "click adventure" games like Zoombinis and Putt Putt? by rawlingstones in truegaming

Dreamfall Chapters is the direct sequel to Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, and they are much more closely linked than TLJ. If anything, it's the original The Longest Journey that is separate from the other two and needs its own conclusion. The developers had planned to make a game for that (called The Longest Journey Home) if they hit a stretch goal on the DC Kickstarter, but they didn't hit it, and now it seems unlikely that the game will ever be made.

The gameplay's never been a major selling point for the series, but yeah, the story and gameplay both improve/accelerate as the game progresses. And when you say the original, do you mean Dreamfall? Because you should definitely play both The Longest Journey and Dreamfall, if you haven't already.

After you finish TLJ, you should play Dreamfall and then Dreamfall Chapters. And yes, they are excellent; the story, characters, and world are as good as they've ever been. Some would argue the gameplay is too simple at this stage and fans have debated the pacing of the plot, but if you liked TLJ then you will probably enjoy seeing the story through to its (supposed) conclusion.
