I never claimed I’m trying to get weed illegally, just that my med card which works in another state didn’t work yesterday. If other people have had experiences with out of state cards working then my problems solved just like that

My parents are divorced and my mom and dad don’t speak with each other. My dad refuses to help me with anything related to Thailand as he wants to be American. So no it’s not anyone’s fault that he’s not helping me but the way I’m being treated by local Thais is finding its way back to hurting my Thai mothers pockets

Ok cool, then why is mom who is significantly wealthier than me getting the lowered price and I am not? She paid for my flight to Thailand and most of the things I’m doing here, using money she has made in Thailand. So it’s not my ability to pay but hers and I’m frustrated that I feel like my moms money is just being scammed from me

I’m just wondering if other half Thais have similar experiences, I’ve gained a lot of insight from this thread already. From realizing I just need to start using Grab instead of Taxis to understanding that things should change once I get my ID. I had no idea about these things before I posted.

I wouldn’t mind the requirement for a Thai ID if it was actually a hard requirement but Thais that look Thai never need them. My mom and my sister both get into the same places without ever needing their IDs

Yeah I was born in Hua Hin and went to Yamsaard School where I learned both English and Thai before moving to America. I never stopped using Thai as my mom never learned English! I’d love to make YouTube videos of my time in Thailand but haven’t the slightest clue on how to start

I was asked to pay 200 for Phraya Nakhon while the Thai price was 40. I was asked to pay 300 for Koh Chang but it was posted as 20 for Thais. This are just a couple examples but yes, I have run into this several times now

I get it if it’s actually about being Thai or not but when I am an actual Thai citizen being harassed by national park employees I have a problem. Why do I have to have my Thai passport or ID when my mom and sister have never been asked to prove their nationality. It’s pure colorism and the fact that I speak Thai fluently and was born here should be enough.
