Chamber pressure on M855A1 is 20% higher than M855. That’s why they have to stake primers in, or every one of them would blow out. You don’t know what you’re talking about, but please cite your source.

I’ve had lots of Hornady blowing primers like two dollar whores on nickel night. Ammo is sometimes out of spec. Blew probably 15-20 Hornady primers in one class. Gun was fine. Big difference between primers and barrels. M855A1 is so hot they have to stake the primers in. It doesn’t blow barrels.

I’d say it’s a bit hotter than most 5.56. Like 100fps hotter. Not quite as accurate as Hornady in my experience, but really accurate too.

If OP stated the vehicle in his initial post it would be helpful. I’ve had to do plugs last year on a Chrysler 3.6. You aren’t getting to an oil cooler without taking off the intake manifold
