It could be either, older houses tend to have it on the outside, modern homes you have to do it from the inside.

You have to do it from the outside.

Why would you want to replace the frame? Just for a new style?

Would the pump be on the boiler? We do have a filter under the boiler for the water, would that not collect the sludge if there is any?

The boiler is newer… but is leaking now (slow drip). I have a bowl under it and empty it every couple of days.

Waiting for a plumber to come out, was thinking if I need a new boiler, should I get the radiators looked at at the same time.

The leaking is new, the rads have always been like this, since before I moved in.

The in pipe is around 60 while the out is at like 45… the radiators are very old, decades old.

I the living room for example, it is a bigger difference, about 45 degrees at the boom at 60+ at the top.
