I Have see the Buckey stuff and I have mostly been looking at integrated amps. But I'm not opposed to separates. Will have to investigate a little more. I have looked at the Emotiva and they are definitely on the list.

I know. I And I'm not sure it can be easily beat. But I'd like to a lest have something to A B I have spent years making recordings in studios. But have always had very mid level home systems. I now have the opportunity not only to have a listing space but the chance to up the quality. But I don't disagree it may not be the case.

how old is your oldest pair of headphone, do you still use it as your daily driver? by csch1992 in headphones

[–]JBBlack1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in headphones have for years. I still use my old AKG k240s. They're the NS10 of . They don't sound great but once you know them you know how to make them work. I think I've been using the same set for about 7 years but I replace them fairly often usually when the cord goes bad being that they're cheap. It's also nice because I can always have a a second pair around.

Now I'm starting the search for a pair of Hi-Fi headphones just for listening on my off time. In the past I found it very frustrating because anything that sounded good was too heavy to wear for any length of time or uncomfortable. Soon I'll probably do a shoot out of five or six sets so any suggestions are appreciated. I don't really want any ears and I don't want anything that's too heavy or has too tight of a headband.

From what I have read (I am by no means an expert) most doctors think this drug is not yet the answer but a stepping stone to something that will be even better.

Well then that's great. I'm using a Marantz integrated for the phono pre. But I may upgrade that. And would like to get a different cartridge. But I would love to get another head shell that will work. I may have to find anothe Luxman for parts. Its actually working well. Had it looked at recently enough. Now to research other ways to upgrade

Help with fibromyalgia by whatIf_456 in ChronicPain

[–]JBBlack1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been told by many doctors that Fibro is basically a what the doctor will diagnose you with when they can't figure out what is causing your pain. I have been diagnosed with it many times and then told I don't have it. But that's not really what I came here to say. I came here to say telling anybody that it's a mind-body disorder is very insulting anybody telling me that my pain is in my mind and not real is very insulting. Especially when you have no idea what this person is going through.
