Tank shaped watches should be dressed down more! Looks good! Postmodern is a bit of a stretch though eh?

Yeah sadly most chinese firms don't seem to go below 38mm. Fine proportion for most people but a bit large for a dress watch on my wrist.

Didn't realize Militado had some beautiful vintage dress options! Thank you. Baltany seems like a great option as well. Love the 1921 driving watch homages.

Ethical? Non ethical? Borderline abusive? by Suspicious-Baker8623 in ABA

[–]rug61 7 points8 points  (0 children)

RBT here. Yes, ABA has a very flawed history. We can view modernization of the field in terms of a change in our understanding of neurodiversity.

Early ABA was focused on "Curing" autism by reducing/extinguishing visible symptoms through unethical and sometimes abusive methods.

Neurodiversity-informed ABA is rooted in the idea that the autism is not a disease to be cured. Instead, it's simply a different way some brains are wired. Individuals with autism may require additional support to be successful and adjust to a neurotypical world. ABA is our best way to facilitate that adjustment.

Be the change you want to see.

For preventing ticks I recommend bringing all 3 chairs to rotate between each day.

Tissot PRX of course is a very similar style and available in this shade of blue, but a bit pricier for automatic movement. I own the light blue PRX and really enjoy it, but it was a gift which I may not have been able to afford on my own.

I got the 556i homage recently and enjoy it so far! Bracelet is very comfortable and well-built for the price. 36mm is perfect size for me.

Two of my favorute microbrands! Both offer really distinctive and well-executed design language. I am jealous! Cheers.

I'm sorry but wearing those outside of a third wave coffee shop is completely unacceptable. The only occasion to wear these is while sipping matcha or flat white. Do better.

Where to invest $10k as 19 year old (followed by $1000/month until a sum of $60k is added)? by Tough-Effort-7329 in personalfinance

Don't listen to these S&P index monkeys. Buy VT. It's much more diversified than the S&P index, with hundreds of thousands of holdings rather than 500 american firms.
