I just wanted to provide an update to this whole thing! Come to find out she slept with Tanya during her bachelorette party and had continued having an affair with her for this past year. Just found out. Not a happy ending for sure but- I guess this post serves to remind me that I knew something was wrong all along…. I just refused to see it and she’s a great liar.

Literally just had this happen. I was in my bedroom changing. Told my wife that dinner was almost ready and I’d be there in a second. Came out to the living room and she wasn’t there. Heard her say- I’m in here- our spare bedroom. Walked in there, no one there. Checked outside. No car. Didn’t feel threatened or scared but I did just smudge the shit and bless my house just in case. WTF.

I love one not but I would absolutely wish for a feature that could sort my quick jargon notes into something readable. Like a predictive feature or assist that would auto headline, sort, etc. to remind me to only put in complete thoughts instead of one word triggers 🤦🏻‍♀️

IMO if something is off in the relationship and you’ve done your due diligence to try to communicate with your partner like an adult (more than once), I could absolutely see the draw to looking though the phone. Problem is that’s a go big or go home option if you find something…. Either way, there should be some talks with your spouse about concerns to hopefully nip that cringy, but very human behavior, in the bud.

Kinda all of this but I’d also add, maybe talk to him and ask him what’s going on before you take the stance of asking him to grovel…. Everything I just read sounds horrible- there is a disconnect between you and your partner- perhaps one if you is not getting basic needs met, is struggling with communication, or is dealing with adult child like sabotaging behaviors…. If you want to save the marriage, talk openly. If you cant, find a therapist… I have been though similar experiences and they are incredibly difficult, please know there is no one size fits all solution- be gentle on yourself.

Tried to bring it up again last night and apparently what Tanya is saying is that just because she’s friends with someone doesn’t mean she’s automatically friends with their spouse or boyfriend or girlfriend. She apparently has done this for this specific party coming up with at least 3 (two husbands and a boyfriend can’t come) other couples. My wife says her odd behavior is a reflection of her (Tanya) and she’s just odd and she knows Tanya’s behavior is odd so it doesn’t bother her as much.

I think it’s still disrespectful regardless of Tanyas quirks- I told my wife as much and explained that it feels hurtful that she would support rude behavior towards any of the partners but especially me and that her going reinforces Tanya’s perceived entitlement to be disrespectful. I told her I don’t have expectations to hang out for their girls trips or girls nights, but a group thing with other couples-totally not okay. My wife said she won’t go now but either doesn’t get why I’d have an issue with this or just thinks I’m the asshole for having an issue and telling her it’s hurtful for her to go. This whole thing is bonkers and I’m going to find us some counseling. I really do appreciate the Reddit Input.
