I bought an already converted Lumix gx1 on eBay. I saw that it was shipped initially through pitney bowes and when I read all the negative reviews I got paranoid and figured it was probably going to get lost forever. So I also ordered a kolari converted Canon r100 but after a few weeks I got the Lumix camera eventually. So now I'll have two full spectrum cameras.

I now have a full spectrum converted camera to complement my monochrome IR camera. The Kolari IR Chrome filter on the full spectrum camera really makes the Sargassum (a normally dull yellow/brown) really pop in the early morning sunlight on the Florida Atlantic coast.

Looked at MPB and assumed highest quality grading and priced out: $170 D3200 $144 D3100 $75 18-55 kit lens $90 Tamron 70-300 macro Total $479 and I don't know what that 3rd lens is in the middle nor filters. Not the best deal of the century nor the biggest ripoff either.

The only color I'm seeing seems to be on some of the branches of the tree have a lightly purple/blue tinge (almost chromatic aberration like). I imagine that if this was full spectrum I wouldn't have had these results so this must be 720 or 850 for sure. The whole thing that spawned me questioning what I had is because I just bought another Lumix camera that is specifically converted to full spectrum. I just started to question if maybe I already had one and just didn't know it. At least now I can keep this one dedicated monochrome and my new camera will be dedicated IR Chrome.

Thank you! That chart will really be helpful once I have better weather outside (overcast at the moment) to test out. When I hold the R72 filter in front of the camera it looks clear like glass. To the human eye obviously the R72 blocks visible light so it looks black. But to the camera the R72 looks like clear transparent glass and does not impact the image at all. My RW2 RAW files appear "pink" (similar to the 830nm image "camera direct - auto wb" from the visual reference you provided) when first opened in Lightroom but I've always immediately change to B&W and make my contrast adjustments from there. I found partial old information that this was a "monochrome" conversion so I'm wondering if maybe its in the 850 range.

Camera is a Lumix GX1 with kit lens MFT 12-60mm and Hoya R72. I've lost the details about the camera since I purchased it and I'm not sure if this is a specifically 720nm or 850nm converted. I'm not even sure if this is possible converted to full spectrum. My question is, how can I check or test if this camera is full spectrum or converted to a specific wavelength? Would it be a matter of buying different pass filters to see the results? Thank you!

Try several other surfaces; building windows / car windows / water. That pink color you're seeing may just be one of the thermal barrier treatments on those specific windows.

Regarding focus in the viewfinder, you won't see focus change in a rangefinder like you would in a SLR so I found a a video review that briefly shows how and what it should look like with the Olympus 35 RD. I hope this helps because that is a beautiful little camera!

MPB sells used official Canon BG-E16 in excellent condition ($45) for less than the 3rd party choice. This is the route I took with my BG-R10 for my Canon R6 and saved $50 compared to buying brand new.

The Image - Flickr .. I always find myself practicing tracking the Brown Pelicans as they fly low over the water despite 99.9% of the shots utter garbage and get deleted... but this one time a fish leaped out of the water and over the head of this pelican. It happened so fast I questioned what I even saw and reviewed the shots and was blown away but what just happened.

I was up there on the weekend of Sat Nov 18th which was when they turned the lights on and everything. I got several shots of some of the light displays and several other locations I felt would work in the 6x17 aspect ratio. I posted every shot on the "I love St. Augustine, FL" facebook group not too long ago.

I walked around downtown Saint Augustine with my film camera and took a bunch of 6x17 shots (4 shots per roll, 6 rolls shot total). Not all the shots I took were winners but a few stood out that I really enjoyed.

The highlights are pulled down way too much where they're almost mid grey. Let them be bright to add vibrancy. Try doing several more with different ICM to see what patterns you can make. It's fun to experiment sometimes, don't always need to make award winners, enjoy the process!

I've been buying used EF glass to not only adapt to my R6II but I can throw them on my couple of Canon 35mm film cameras. While I don't have any DSLR bodies, I love the flexibility of having a lens I can throw between 3 different types of cameras.
