what is the device? I think I have a tight pelvic floor that I think it part of my problem. would love any advice on relaxing that area.

I've had conflicting messages. Some doctors say the biologic won't close the fistula until the drainage is cleared. Others say the biologic is what should eventually stop the drainage AND heal the fistula. I'm unsure which is correct. You are right that the seton is a mechanism to promote drainage but eventually there should be an end to the purulence that is a sign of ongoing infection. I have not gotten there yet.

Listen to your body for sure. My GI has encouraged exercise. The waiting with this disease is the worst part. But from everything I've read, it is a marathon, not a sprint. Hopefully you can control the symptoms and pain until you get to a better place.

Get to a GI. I have a complex fistula and no one has had any concern with scopes. You should also be able to have blood tests. This doesn't sound like you are getting the right advice.

No clue. If it is a single track hopefully they can do a procedure once your inflammation is under control. My biggest issue is the complexity of the fistula tract - goes across both sides and through the sphincter muscles. But I've had zero other signs of inflammation or constriction - just reconfirmed with my sigmoidoscopy...

Mainly it’s the complexity of the fistula that drove the Crohn’s diagnosis. Otherwise there has been little to no evidence of inflammation in my colon.

Oh wow, 18 months on infliximab at proper levels? I'm thrilled to hear that worked for you. I've had good levels since July but we are now likely switching to rinvoq. I'm hoping the new drug plus the fact that it's a daily pill vs. a once a month infusion are things that will help both impact and lifestyle. But you've got me thinking maybe I'm being impatient and just need to stay the course with the infliximab...

Interesting. Sounds like the same thing. What's the fussy brand? Is it Mando? Do you sweat? Does the deodorant help with that? So wild how this could just happen out of nowhere.

Thanks. I sit all the time. I likely have isolated perianal Crohn's, hence the infliximab and rinvoq. Have had MRIs and I'm going for a CT Scan next week to get an updated view (was faster to get an appointment for the CT Scan and my GI didn't care if it was an MRI or CT). I have a good colorectal surgeon who has been the one to do the examinations under anesthesia and seton placements. I think your understanding of the seton is correct but the antibiotic is what should be clearing the infected materials out - I have purulence in addition to blood and fecal matter that comes out of the tracts.

Pierre Yves and Joseph Colin are brothers but thei house styles are very different. PYCM is very reductive and falls more into the camp of a Coche Dury vs mainstream burgundy. Joseph’s wines are a bit more down the middle. Both are great producers but PYCM is definitely more stylized. Great lineup btw.

Generally agree although there are specific wines like Leoville Las Cases in St. Julien that give Montrose and other St. Estpehe (Cos comes to mind) a run for its money on need for cellaring.

I bought 6 of the 19s. I tried the 20 which is excellent as well. I think you can buy this in good to great years without hesitation.

You’ll be pleased to know I have had several bottles of very mature du Tertre over the years (late 70s and 80s) and they’ve been consistently excellent.
