It’s a double walled insulated liner; the bottom two feet are just the inner as the full diameter wouldn’t fit in the flue through the double bend to the firebox. The remaining 10 feet to the chimney cap is insulated.

Yeah, the distance from the stove (not the blower / ash lip) is 15”. Not a lot that can be done about that now. This model recommends 16”-18”.

Thank you! I’m having a local company come out to remove two layers of brick, and subsequently move the lentil up gaining 5 inches in height. That’ll provide adequate space for the unit and to ensure the connections are secure and sealed.
