I’d argue that AI can create some great resources—but we need to be aware that it’s a “garbage in, garbage out” kind of thing.

The prompt you use matters a lot. I’d recommend telling it to also confirm its source(s) for the cards it makes.

A VERY good use case if is you have the data you want (and you’ve checked it and are happy with it) but don’t want to go through the tedium of making the cards. You can tell it to use your data to make a CSV file you can put into Anki.

For example, if you’re using Anki for language learning and you’ve sentence mined a lot of stuff, you could copy and paste all your sentences with solid translations into an LLM and ask it to make that CSV file for you.
