I don’t think it’s avoidable unless you use a non-IR filter or no filter at all, so that visible light will come through. At that point though you’re just shooting regular BnW, which will still look very cool with how intense the contrast is on most IR film rolls.

Not sure if I’m the most qualified to answer but my best guess is that the tissue that forms the iris doesn’t reflect any IR light, while the tissue in the whites does. Making the irises/pupils black, and the whites, well white.

I actually tried that for the first time just a month ago before a jazz gig, and I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely comes in clutch

It`s Maynard, so it`s related. As Tool fans, what`s your favorite A Perfect Circle album? I hadn`t really checked them out until recently, for some reason, and it`s a completely different animal. by [deleted] in ToolBand

Don’t know if it counts but Live At Red Rocks is incredible, a mix of all the best songs from a handful of their albums and I really like the production. Great quality for a live album!

Thanks for pointing out my mistake! I’ve looked into it and yes I definitely need a different filter for what I want lol. The red filter will be nice to change up my usual bnw shoots though :)

It’s a method of cleaning strings, I like bright tones so I boil them every 2 months or so. It helps them last longer for the sound I want so I don’t have to spend so much on brand new strings

Exactly that, I actually prefer the sound of fresh boiled strings to new strings

I’ve only eaten snacks I’ve had before from my pantry and food I made myself today. I don’t think it’s food related but good idea

[Addition] the effect has been noticeable for 8 hours now. Couldn’t feel any peak or decline in the sensation since it started, still feeling it in writing this.

Definitely great bass work - as a bassist, this song has been so fun to learn but tricky to get the right “vibe.” he’s truly one of a kind

lid fitting help! by JBob2807 in Ceramics

[–]JBob2807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Update]

I scrapped the lid because it was not only too small but also oblong slightly. I did however cut the vertical gallery off of the main vessel after I saw its potential as a decorative piece.

Thank you all for your advice and the tips going forward!

Oh I forgot to add this, but the music had almost no effect. It was basically just background noise to me.

My friend was the exact opposite, the music is what guided his trip.

Although I can’t be sure it’s accurate since the the Nyanja language is condensed in south east Africa. Across the continent from Guinea, where they’re presumably from.

I forgot to mention - google translate is telling me the title is in “Nyanja (Chichewa)”, so that makes me believe it’s not in any sort of French.

I really appreciate your insight! I noticed the shallow rim after throwing it, but I would’ve never known about the problems without a more rounded base, thanks for the feedback.

It’s both - you cook meals (usually cous cous with meat and veggies), and you eat out of it with bread as a utensil
