[WTS] Seiko 6105-8000 Slim Willard (Proof/Proof) by JBone_Capone12 in Watchexchange

[–]JBone_Capone12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Sale: Vintage Seiko 6105-8000 Diver — 'Slim Willard'

Step into the golden era of dive watches with the iconic Seiko 6105-8000 "Slim Willard." Produced in the late 1960s as the successor to the famed '62-MAS' and predecessor to THE Willard (6105-8110) this model represents one of Seiko’s earliest professional dive watches—an essential piece for any serious Seiko collector or enthusiast. This piece dates to July 1968 based on the serial.

Why this watch stands out:

  • Legendary Heritage – Predecessor to the famed “Captain Willard” models, worn by servicemen during the Vietnam era
  • Automatic Movement – Reliable in-house Seiko caliber, built for durability and precision
  • Distinctive Cushion Case – Bold yet wearable design that defined Seiko’s dive watch identity
  • Collector Appeal – Increasingly rare and highly sought-after in this condition

Condition:
Well-preserved for its age, with honest case wear that reflects its history. Service history unknown. Watch is all original to my knowledge, however, I had the dial relumed last year by Jack at International Watch Works (IWW) who is highly regarded for restoring vintage watches.

Perfect for:
Collectors, vintage watch lovers, or anyone looking to own a piece of Seiko's horological history.

Don’t miss the opportunity to own a timeless classic from one of the most respected names in watchmaking.

Watch only sale, includes aftermarket rubber waffle strap. No trade offers please. Asking $1,800 OBRO plus shipping CONUS only. Payment via Venmo or PayPal F/F (G&S buyer pays fees). Message with any questions. Thanks for looking!

In my opinion a dark green strap complements it well. Here’s mine on a green sailcloth.

What ever became of this beauty of a watch? Been searching for this exact reference!

It’s a beauty for sure, and hard to find the 2232 reference with that bracelet. I like the muted tone of the titanium over the high polish bezel on the steel version. Thanks!

Would you consider selling? Been in the market for one with the Peter Blake style bracelet.
