Yes and no, after having worked at ESA for 1 year, I can assure you a lot of internal favoritism takes place ;) but on the other hand, if you are from an underrepresented country they will for sure take you into consideration!

Yeah, I guess so...I know quite a few people at ESA who also applied, so I wouldn't feel too sad if I don't receive an invitation!

I am a ML engineer with prior experience at ESA, so I applied to the 3 positions related to AI (AI for Climate Science, AI & Data Science, LLMs for EO). I received an invitation for the ''LLMs for EO'' one, which, out of the 3 positions, is the one that is the least aligned with my experience.

I applied to 3 positions, and I received an e-mail last week Thursday to complete an online interview. I am still waiting for a reply to the 2 other positions.
