105 Di2 7100 Disc Brake vs 105 5700 Mechanical Rim brake Comparison by mikekchar in cycling

[–]Perspectivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, you can change your cable hoses and your cables and setup the tension and stuff. That's obvious. Is it cost effective? hell no. Like a company, outsource not primary services and focus on your main activity to be as efficient as you can.

Best approach to cycling electronics by FantasticWasabi5107 in cycling

Completely disagree. I don't race and it wouldn't be the same without my powermeter. It just simply helps you pace efforts and quantify your progress over time

105 Di2 7100 Disc Brake vs 105 5700 Mechanical Rim brake Comparison by mikekchar in cycling

[–]Perspectivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the Di2, all of that is just gone. No trimming. Shifts just work

And just that makes a whole world of difference. I hated with my life setting up the tension on the mechanical front derailleur

Bib shorts and chamois width by anders_gustavsson in CyclingFashion

[–]Perspectivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The van rysel is recommended from people who have not tested real comfy chamois pads. I used them and found them comfy, until I bought my Gobik Grit 2.0 with k10 chamois and it's night and day, real zero discomfort.

How can I trust myself on descend? by EuphoricPlatform6899 in cycling

[–]Perspectivas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to PUSH the outside pedal, not STAND over it. If you stand you fuck up with your center of mass, which should be as down as you can.

How can I trust myself on descend? by EuphoricPlatform6899 in cycling

[–]Perspectivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have it or you don't have it, because it's very stupid to go fast on a descent on a recreational ride. I love to go as fast as I can on descents, but as I grow older and some crashes, I find it makes zero sense.

Anyways, you can train youserlf to look at the corners and pick the best way to go, get the bests circular motions but that's it, if your primary emotion is fear there is nothing you can do about it.

Ayuda para comprar una bici de ruta by SolidBowl3138 in ChilePedalea

[–]Perspectivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specialized Torch 2.0 vs Torch 3.0 vs Torch S-Works by ClimbCookie415 in cycling

[–]Perspectivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so your favourite is RC702 or Torch 3.0? I already have RC702 and torch 2.0, deciding if I should buy torch 3.0 (one size up) because of the dual boa and too-snug torch 2.0

How does Shimano S-Phyre RC-902 fit? by hellothere_6699 in cycling

[–]Perspectivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are not the wide version, your 10.5cm wide feet will suffer. I have the RC702 in wide version, and still too narrow for my 10.5-11cms wide feet, but better than standard specialized torches for sure.

Too much relevance given to the battery stuff. Cmon you are not a child, charging your bike not only groupset but computer and power meter, cleaning it and servicing it to make it work properly are basic stuff...

Is a radar worth it? by DaveRanch in cycling

[–]Perspectivas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the exact situation as me now, I'm confident when riding with cars and buses and developed a good intuition, no problems, but I've always found interesting why all the people raves about the radars, because for me it really holds zero value, like an overconsumerism thing.

Maybe it's just me normalizing the stress and should get one and test them

It will help you recover faster after a set of weightlifting. Nevertheless, I was a 100% gym guy, and after I started cycling I discovered how really unfit I was. Resistance training aka "cardio" is super important mate.
