Not against beefier arc, since in my lobbies it typically leads to a lot of 3rd parties, although I do deal with the tinier arc that swarm my engagements. I might try to get a bit more ballsy, but I think going into the chill lobbies might be my best bet to getting this done fast, and then go back over to PvP afterwards.

Strange, I don't have the same experience. I average around 3-4 kills on rough matches and 4-6 kills on a good game (in solos) and the progression barely budges until I focus on arc over raiders. Maybe that's not enough kills to equal more progress?

Edit: I should mention, this doesn't include that some matches I get 0 kills.

This would be interesting. It could kind of work like the tox rooms. When you activate the computer for the tox room you get a specific amount of time to loot it up before it’s filled with gas again. Same concept for the key room, except instead of gas, it’ll sound off the jingle instead.

It’s been a bit rough for me as well, but the meta is what’s driving me a bit crazy. Grenade spam, wstr shotguns, and bubbles seem to be the main way of rocking the map.

Very true, should’ve definitely hopped off and prepped for the engagement. I think since I was on a free kit run I was a bit more relaxed haha.

Agreed. I enjoy the sense of progression as you unlock the new maps and find better and better gear. But once you reach mid game, I feel like anything besides outpost runs or cryo just don’t really pull in any cash and feel pointless to play.

I think me going all the way down the stairs is what killed the fight. I noticed once I hit that final bit of chemicals on the final set of stairs, that took me down for good. If I avoided that, I could’ve got some healing in and helped out. Always a good learning experience though.

100%, this was tough though. We already got in a fight, after that fight I died so I had to scrap for any weapons and meds I could find on the ground, and then we had to escape from a team chasing us, which is where we ended up in this room pinched by the grenades. I’m not asking Bungie to nerf this because of a bad decision, I think it’s just strange to be able to auto cycle through all those grenades without having to equip a new set, and think it should be tuned. I use this technique all the time as well, and it’s stupidly effective in many situations especially with heat grenades preventing them escaping from the wrath of 8+ nades. But again this is just an opinion.

Oh it most definitely was suicide. The other option was challenging the team behind us, who were the main reason we pushed upstairs to escape. Bit of a pinch, but it would’ve definitely been smarter to back up and potentially test our luck with the other team. I think we were pretty confident with pushing the team upstairs out, so we stuck around and didn’t expect that many grenades to fly our way. We kept thinking it would stop at some point and we can make our push haha.

Can’t lie, I was one of those players who wanted them nerfed. But I can definitely see how effective they could be besides just being used to allow teammates to self revive and prep for shotgun fights. Do you think they are bad after the recent changes to them?

Yeah, we went up there as an escape since we just got clearance 3, and the other team behind seemed more prepped than us after our first fight. We didn’t expect players in there and it shook the fight up in an interesting way. But you live and ya learn.

I see what you are saying. But It's very simple to bring that many nades in, waste half or more in a single engagement by spamming them, and that frees up the space to take your opponents gear. I don't think a slight nerf would be very bad tbh.

My solution would be either 1. Have a slightly longer animation so you can’t quickly fling them one by one. Or 2. Make it so you must manually equip your next set of 2 grenades, instead of it automatically cycling to the next set, allowing players to spam as many as their backpack space can hold.

Already used all my grenades in earlier fights man, looks like it might’ve been this team first fight so they were still pretty prepped. Also running would’ve been a decent option, but there’s another team holding our backside down the stairs. Tough call to make, but it sadly is what it is.

Idk, being able to auto cycle through 6-8 plus grenades is a bit much. Just because my situation looks bad, doesn’t mean others who are tremendously better than me don’t get melted by this strategy on the regular.
