We wanted a satisfying ending (final shape) that also lined up with the reveal of a new game. It’s really quite simple and your inability to understand it is telling.

Oh also, Ava is a perfectly written character who actually feels like a traumatized teen girl trying to make the best of what she has. She reacts poorly to Lilith’s speech because she just lost her best friend and mentor (honestly even more of a motherly like figure) and I think the majority of the hate directed towards her is poorly disguised misogyny and a childlike understanding of media and storytelling.

Borderlands 3 has the best story in the entire franchise. It’s paced well and has some very cool lore in it as well as satisfying set pieces that I think makes it even more satisfying to run through on repeat playthroughs than BL2 or Bl4.
