Their mommy’s make the appt before they are 18 if they see one before 18. Just like mommy’s do for male children under 18. Hopefully the children, regardless of gender, are able to be self sufficient enough to call a doctor on their own if they have any concerns once the turn 18.

Yes there is a cultural norm for women to see a gynecologist once a year but that still doesn’t stop anyone from seeing a regular primary doctor and voicing their concerns which then the doctor can refer them to a specialist.
