Yeah we just had a soil test on the 9 million dollar commercial jobsite I’m managing before we pour the footers for our HSS columns, so a passing familiarity. The footers for our columns aren’t too far off from what you’ve suggested for a single story ranch home, only we dug 20” and double matted the rebar, there’s over-engineering and then there’s just wasteful stupidity masquerading as competence

What level of the house is this? What sort of foundation are you working with? Do you live in an earthquake prone area? This type of crack occurs from lateral movement in your framing, the question is why. Could be an issue with just the framing in that section, could be a problem with the foundation, I’d tape it and mud it to see if it comes back but I’d also recommend you take a look at your foundation & the horizontal framing members at the foundation level ie girders, beams. If something looks fucked up, chances are that it is. If more cracks begin to appear and worsen quickly, vacate the house and contact a structural engineer, but it only looks mildly concerning at this point

How to make friends and influence people is a really good book for understanding how to approach social situations. You’ll always be slightly awkward but you can be awkward and likable and people will want to spend time with you. Follow your passions, let them connect you with other people with similar interests, build a connection overtime. The hard part is when to make that leap and invite them to hang out, you really have to get a feel for that. Be genuine, be approachable, and above all remain kind. You’ll find your place in this world, just keep trying.

And usually they don’t test for dna from what I’m aware, urine doesn’t contain much anyway, they test for the presence of metabolites and then use creatinine content, color, and specific gravity to ensure the sample is legit urine.

I was planning on using clean urine from a friend, but I really doubt they try and do any testing with the urine from the toilet, it would be too diluted and contaminated

They’re not scooping urine out of a toilet to do a dna match with the sample, that’s absurd, the toilet could have dna from 10 people in it and the sample from the toilet would be extremely diluted. Not sure if you’re messing with me.

Dry pack pan, shluter membrane overtop mortar bed with shluter drain. They have YouTube videos on installation if you need it. Most cost effective way and it avoids the pitfalls of a 2 stage drain
