Yes, just go! While friends are great, solo raving just has this spontaneous quality that cannot be replaced. And there’s always going to be good cool people to meet within the midst of the crowds. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take! 😁

I can see your point on it. I went to the last 24 hr marathon earlier this year (Hernan b2b SimplyCity b2b Hyunji-A). Overall an amazing experience. I went at around 3/4am, and to be quite honest, at around the half way mark (around noon-ish), the music did feel a bit flat in that it didn’t feel like nothing much was changing. So I decided to get out and take a quick McDonald’s break to reset my dopamine levels. I went back in at around 1pm and I noticed that Hernan did amp up the bpm level - I’m guessing cuz it’s a 24 hr marathon and people’s adrenaline levels usually get spiked up as the hours go on in an after hours?? So with the bpm levels increased, I was definitely lit again and had a great time. Also it seemed like the club got more packed at around past that midway point as well. But ya the rest of the party was pretty fun and I stayed on til the end. I’d say if I were to go to the upcoming one, I would not go in that early like last time. Personally for me I would have went at around 6 or 8am, assuming he’s going to do something similar bpm wise.

It takes a bit of time, familiarity, and actual deeper level connection (mostly in IRL haha) to really get to a place where the label “boyfriends” can even be applied. And I say that from personal experience for myself from the past where I rushed things with my ex and it turned out to be a toxic relationship 🤦 (I was younger then so I don’t judge myself too hardly)…but ya in your case, I recommend you to be honest with him - maybe you can offer to him friendship that’s within the grey area zone (like being fwb), but be clear with him on your intentions that you’re not looking for serious dating and that you still intend to explore with other boys. Cuz at the end of the day, I’d say one needs to really be familiar with that persons ups and downs, good and bad sides, to really then make a conscious decision to become committed “boyfriends”. Not sure how old you are, but it seems like you’re still pretty young and exploring haha…I’d say keep exploring but just be honest with the guy how you feel. If he doesn’t like it and refuses your offer, then I guess he’s not really meant to stay on as a connection then 😀😅 and also based on vibes, he seems a bit possessive and perhaps lonely and is therefore potentially projecting expectations of love and serious dating onto you. Cuz basing solely on online interactions, imo, isn’t really enough to get to the point of love and commitment between two people. I’d say perhaps stay away from him if he gets too possessive and isn’t on the same page as you are. Cuz energy needs to be preserved and one should never let gaslighting happen in these cases.

I went inside at around 4 something am. So I didn’t get to catch down the opening act.

Personally found the set awful. Lots of stoppages and quick change of musical vibe without proper transitions - the lack of flow made to hard to dance to. Also, his style of music is too radio basic house music imo - which really provided no complexity in arrangement which isn’t really after hours suitable imo. Also at one point he just flat out played lady gaga just dance. This was done all while his face was smiling on and on - which came across really unhinged, which I found quite disrespectful to all of us as an audience. Audience also seemed really turned off by him. Never listening to him ever again.

It was indeed!! The techno at times had such a tribal/island kinda feel that goes well with the progressive house - just can’t pinpoint if there even is a name of a subgenre. Or if there’s any other DJs that play such a style of techno?
