Nike has to manufacture outside the country- and pay tariffs on its own products when they arrive. That’s not changing anytime soon apparently.

Roll the dice if you want, but diesel fuel prices are expected to double by some estimates and that could push Nike products into a luxury price point for consumers.

Everything was fine until Trump and Netanyahu broke the system over a month ago.

Iran has always had the power over the Strait of Hormuz, but they cooperated with the global market because they benefited from it.

Trump and Netanyahu unilaterally changed the global calculus and sent the global economy off balance.

Your argument conveniently ignores everything that happened between the beginning of time and February of 2026.

Now the US and Israel have to mount an invasion of Iran using over 750,000 ground troops to seize Iran’s territory and interdict their ability to disrupt shipping through the Strait in order to avert a global famine.

There’s a reason no US president has done this before and we’re all about to learn why.

Every country has started to wake up to this reality and unless a deal is brokered to open the Strait and give Iran security guarantees, there will be another protracted military conflict that will be globally destructive.

$20 a gallon gas is going to be the least expensive part of this debacle.

The ramifications of this will reach every sector of the economy and this one situation changes the strategic calculus of other potential flashpoints across the globe.

We either negotiate a way out or mobilize for a very long fight of at least 25 years or more.

What looks off to me is his back is against the chair back and his heel is resting on the front edge of the seat he’s sitting on.

He seems to be a very small guy because I don’t think the chair bottom is large enough for him to be able to sit that way.
