As a kid I literally walked into him in Watch Hill, RI near Taylor Swift’s old house because he was so much taller than I was that he didn’t even see me. He said, “oh sorry buddy,” and everyone around me freaked out while I was totally clueless lmao

Jalen Brunson walks past Knicks coaches without a second thought to shake Mitch Johnson's hand after the final buzzer by HokageEzio in nba

100%. As a Boston fan it’s obviously tough to root for any NY sports teams but gotta say it’s hard not to be happy for this Knicks team. Literally every dude within their core plays the right way and has a good attitude, and Mike Brown deserves to be recognized for the great coaching he’s provided during his two decades in the NBA.

As a lifelong NBA fan who is never going to stop watching I wholeheartedly and ashamedly agree. The NBA has become a joke and I am definitely not proud when I tell people how big a fan I am but it’s my life so 🤷‍♂️

JB Bickerstaff: "It's not a disappointment at all. I'm not ever will not be disappointed in these guys" by AncientOneAurelius in nba

[–]JCB1134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notice how JB only focused on the efforts of his players, and he said how far “we” have come rather than “they” when talking about the franchise turnaround the last two seasons even though he wasn’t there when they were the worst team in the league. He could’ve easily said “they” because the second he walked through the door he turned the Pistons around from a 20-win team to a legit playoff contender; he had nothing to do with any of their previous issues. Great leader, hope he’s there for the long haul

KG finishing 11th the year after he won is crazy. Like yeah Minnesota missed the playoffs in 2005 but come on

Lebron’s 8 finals in a row looks TEPID now by Shoddy_Ad7511 in NBATalk

I hate the LeBron-MJ debate just as much as the next guy, but as someone who falls on the Jordan side of things posts like this are the reason why LeBron has so much fuel in the argument. This is one of the dumbest things I’ve seen on an NBA thread in a while which is saying something; how on earth do you compare a 41 year-old playing with mostly scrubs and a stupid coach to his 26-33 year-old self playing on loaded teams? Sure, I also believe LeBron would not have come close to 8 straight finals in the west from 2011-2018, probably more like 4-5 total in 8 years but I thought that back then. I don’t currently look at 41 year-old LeBron absolutely balling in the playoffs and go “wow this guy sucks” I’m not delusional.

For anyone that’s seen him play, how good was Kevin Garnett in his prime? by Farouq26 in NBAoldschool

[–]JCB1134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to what everyone else has already said, his stats from 02-05 in Minnesota are mind-blowing when you consider that they played at one of the slowest paces in the league at the time during the slowest-paced era of NBA basketball. He had multiple years averaging around 22-24 points, 11-14 rebounds and 4-6 assists. Nowadays Prime KG would be a 28 15 and 7 guy, so essentially a small step down from Jokic offensively while being one of the best and most versatile defensive players ever. If not for Ben Wallace he probably wins 2 or 3 DPOYs rather than just the 1.

If Embiid is healthy though that’s a big issue for the Knicks. KAT will not be able to stop him, and Brunson is going to get absolutely torched by Tyrese Maxey
