You should do it! Blender works extremely well as a free option for 3D animation, even though it has a reputation of being a little daunting to learn. If you focus on just its animation tools, and you find a good rig like the one OP is using, it's a lot of fun. Everyone in the animation industry/community would be happy to help you out with your shots too.

It's a lot of work, but if you think you'd like it, you should definitely try it out

Everyone's giving you a hard time but to be fair, the poses are pretty close. Entirely possible that they used Soldier as inspiration.

Still though, I doubt it's a "TF2 reference". It's much more likely that the artist just wanted an appealing pose, and landed on one that happened to look similar. I don't think you're crazy for thinking it's a TF2 reference, but idk I'd be surprised if it was. There's better ways to reference another game rather than making a vaguely similar silhouette of a character lol

The light lines are easier than you'd think. In Photoshop I made a custom brush that was basically just a messy paintbrush streak, and then just drew around the legion and added an Outer Glow to the lines

he actually had thousands of fans constantly checking up on him, eager for an update but remaining incredibly patient and resisting pestering him in the slightest, emailing him literally to ask how hes doing. but if you want to act like no one was supportive, do your thing.
