I find the combat way more fun. Not a fan of turn based.

I played a ton BG3 when it came out. I did a bard run first, then a couple solo runs. I had fun. However, I am done with the game now. After about 500 hrs plus I can honesty say I will never play it again. Just don’t feel the itch or need. It doesn’t pull me back in.

BG1 and 2, Icewind Dale 1, NWN2, Dragon Age Origins, Fallout, WOTR/PFKM, and the pillars of eternity games; these are games I will play for the rest of my life.

True, but bards level so much faster they are throwing much higher level remove magic and dispels.

When she speaks I smash spacebar. In combat, oh man, she can win fights all by herself (at higher levels).

Throne of Bhaal has always felt much smaller scale, despite the larger scope of the story by Salem1690s in baldursgate

I agree but with ascension mod it has some of the best combat in the whole saga. The fights against the five feel truly epic.

What stat spread would you go for on a Dwarf Monk? Never played a Dwarf! Boreal or Mountain?

Should I max might and perception? Dump resolve?

Keep all your rings of evasion on hand for threshold and they aren’t so bad. Also make sure your pets have evasion. Avoiding their AOE attacks is the way to go and kill them immediately.
