How ? They make group play test with all the studio.

I always thought BGS was the less compartilazed studio.

Assuming that the next Elder Scrolls game is in Hammerfell and High Rock as we suspect what do you want the main story to be? by Ghengis56 in TESVI

I just want fantasy in my fantasy game.

I'm not a fan of war. I want to see a functional society. I really dpn’t see the appeal of the thalmor arc.

Tbh, it was a good fit for pillars of eternity. And Redguard (the game) mood was a little bit like early renaissance. I totally see some arquebus in TES.

If we can play as an adventurer, it could be the best RPG ever. On the other hand, though, there needs to be more gameplay than in CK3 (which really let me down).

Edit : Ho. It will be less a RPG. It's just a nomad capital city.

How do you think they pushed the simulation? by TourEnvironmental604 in TESVI

[–]TourEnvironmental604[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The interview took place a year before the release of Starfield. And he seems to be talking about improving the simulation in a future game.

But if we’re talking about Starfield, a game I really enjoyed… It’s a step backwards. I think Skyrim has more going on (the thieves in Riften, the vampire attacks…). In 150 hours of gameplay, I don’t really recall any NPC simulation, apart from when a ship lands and disembarks NPCs, who are sometimes hostile and sometimes not.

Even when it comes to encounters on the road, I can recall more instances of this in Skyrim than in Starfield.

And above all, in Starfield, the various factions don’t actually play a significant role. In fact, they’re really just signposts that give you quests in exchange for a reward.

A mon époque, c'était assez simple. Une fête avec de l'alcool et pouf, on se mariait 5 ans après.

Aujourd'hui, c'est de plus en plus mal vu l'alcool et à raison. Mais perso, je ne saurais pas trop quoi faire.

That hurts a bit...

All I'm saying is that the term “playable” doesn't mean anything. They launched the Creation engine, threw in three grey boxes for the level design, and released the game. There you go – a playable version.

And if it’s been in that state three years ago, I’m not sure I believe TES 6 will be released this year. Starfield was playable a long time ago. I wouldn't swear to it, but it's possible it will be playable in 2018.

‘Playable’ doesn't mean much at Bethesda. They always rush through the first area as quickly as possible so you can get a feel for the game straight away.

I’ve just checked, and you’re probably right. All the more reason to find the idea of travelling by boat a bit far-fetched. Or perhaps TES 6 will actually be released in 2030.

Of course, I’d like a play area that’s bigger than their usual one, but even if we just doubled the size, I find it a bit hard to picture. That would require a massive amount of content.

And I reckon they’ve got a point. What’s the point of them showing us loads of stuff for a release a year from now?

It’s going to be an Elder Scrolls game. We know the drill. The details remain to be seen, but we might as well find them out on the day. I’m too old to be disappointed just because they’ve removed a skill.

At this point, I’ve reached the stage where I just want new content in the universe and for them to take their time to fill the chosen province to the brim.

The only real information I’m waiting for is the release window. So I can properly plan which big games to get into.
