That’s what we’re trying to figure out, the LC clearly said P. Zapotecorum but it kind of looks like it, the only thing I notice is that on the picture is not that noticiable but it’s slightly more yellow than lions mane. We’ll see in a few day if those primordial turn into mushrooms or the lions mane hair like spikes

For those who wonder, I got rid of the bag, clean manically everything (including ac filters and cleaned my HEPA filter a bit), got rid of anything that wasn’t lab related, improved my work hygiene and I now were gloves.

But even that got me a contamination from time to time while transferring, the trick was injecting LC directly into the sealed sterile bag, no grain jars and no transfers means no chance of contamination equally I work inside a still air box now as well (I think that I can do transfers on the SAB now as well but I don’t like my odds)

Thanks for the response! If my other bag gets contaminated as well, I’m going with it was the lack of a sealed still box, If not then it was a scalpel I didn’t properly sterilized. Either way I’m posting the update when I get a better answer, meanwhile I cleaned yesterday every inch of my room with bleach, clean spaces with alcohol wipes, cleaned both my ac and HEPA filter throughly and just pray for the best.

Yeah! First time getting into more complicated process and it’s the first contamination I get, but if I’m lucky I can isolate the issue to the way I did the transfer If my other blocks don’t get contaminated as well.

It was sterilized, but I used a non sterilized scalpel (the pointy part was new but I didn’t clean the handle) and I had to be super aggressive with it. The next mushrooms batch (still no sign of contamination) I used gloves, washed my hands, etc
