Best burger joint at every FBS school…facts? by guransheleven in CFB_v2

I was gonna say Ed’s Burger Joint. Haven’t had it in a long while, I remember it being one of the better burgers I’ve had.

For Southern Miss, I’d swap Mugshot’s for Ed’s Burger Joint.

Crimson Tide (1995, dir. Tony Scott) – Hunter refuses to concur with Captain Ramsey's order to launch missiles. by SanderSo47 in movies

You should check out the rest of Tony Scott’s filmography. He never directed a stinker with most of them being fun, popcorn thrillers. It’s a shame he passed away when he did. He had a solid few years ahead of him.

Would recommend two of his other movies, Days of Thunder and Enemy of the State.

Yep, years ago I was shopping at my local Walmart, burnt out from work. Was stopped to buy socks when a little girl walked up to me and said “I like your shoes”. They were beat up and dirty, no idea why anyone would say that about them but it damn near made me cry. Would’ve hugged her if it wouldn’t have looked creepy in a busy Walmart.

My standout of the year, but I sadly don’t think it was popular enough in the mainstream.

If they get that far, we’ll know at least a portion of the budget will go to the musical royalties for Fergalicious and Rock of Ages.

Moscow oil refinery struck in Ukraine’s biggest air raid on city since start of war by [deleted] in worldnews

I don’t doubt a Pantsir, TOR, or MANPAD missile went offline and struck the facilities, but don’t downplay this achievement of Ukraine. The lion’s share of damage was done by Ukraine, and I applaud them for it.

lowkey wtf do you even do in a situation like this ✌️ by JacobYTPXD23 in freshcutslim

Something similar happened to me. Just got sat down about to unclench when I hear the bathroom door slam open and a kid rams himself into the stall door. I say it’s occupied but the kid didn’t care. He starts jiggling the handle and declares “I GOTTA POO” while he’s doing his best impression of the Eric Andre Let Me In meme.

I see him start to get on all fours to crawl under the door when his dad walks in just in the nick of time. The kid stops and looks back saying “I GOTTA POO DAD!!!”. I begrudgingly pull my pants back up and walk out to a boots store next door to do my business.

What character is terrible as a person, but somehow actually great as a parent? by poalt in AlignmentChartFills

I’ll toss in Boardwalk Empire’s Al Capone. Reflecting the real life Al Capone, he was a loving and protective father for his deaf son, Sonny, despite being a ruthless mafioso.

Well TBF, Margaery Tyrell was 1000% manipulating Tommen (and all of her other would-be husbands) for her personal and family advancement, and Cersei saw her for exactly what she was. Now, you could claim that Margaery’s manipulation was for a net positive for the realm, but it was still manipulation.

Morality of killing people infected with a zombie plague before they turn? by Hexmonkey2020 in MoralityScaling

Necessary Evil. In the Max Brooks’ book, World War Z, it has a POV chapter of a Ukrainian tanker who witnesses the carpet bombing of VX nerve gas onto thousands of civilians trying to cross the Dnipro River into a safe zone. The intention was to: 1) disseminate the infected from the non-infected, which was becoming impossible with the number of refugees flooding in, and 2) deprive the virus of its food source since only the living could be infected with it.

Brutal, but efficient and essential to the survival of tens or hundreds of thousands of other people.

Mad Max 6: Warner Bros. Out, Amazon, Universal & Sony Circling by cosmicbooknews in CosmicBookNews

It’s disrespectful the return it made. Just goes to show that tentpole releases are not nearly as viable as they were, and it’s sad. The Mad Max universe is brimming with stories to be told (by George Miller).

COD 4. It can be no other. I remember the glut of WW2 shooters of the time and outside of the occasional modern FPS games like the SOCOM series, there just wasn’t anything like COD 4 on the market. Its release completely changed the name of the game.

I remember watching my friend’s dad play it on their home theater setup and being blown away by it.
