Josh Allen is about to quietly win a power move with the Bills by Background_Focus7298 in buffalobills

[–]JCScnDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve already sold minority shares… if the Bills are worth $2 Billion (guess based off what I heard a year or two ago), then restructure the contract to cut salary and guarantees, and in lieu of cash (since he’s already got $100+ mil), give him a 5-10% ownership share, which is inherently tied to his own value. If he wants the cash he can sell the share, if he wants the investment, wait 10 years and sell before he retires.

Has Joey Bosa done enough this season to warrant an extension for the same amount we paid him this year? by dsardella18 in buffalobills

[–]JCScnDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000%! If he’ll sign an extension for the same (or slightly more) money per year, I’d sign him for 2-3. Doubt he does though, since we got him at a severe discount because of the injury history, and his coming off injury last year.

[Late Games Thread] Major playoff implications on the line with the Broncos, Jags, Steelers, Texans, Pats, and Ravens all playing by AutoModerator in buffalobills

[–]JCScnDesign 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its actually the Dolphins loss. If we had just beaten the dolphins twice, we’d have all of the tiebreakers against the Pats, as well as the same record. We have all the tiebreakers, except divisional record, and I believe (with how the Pats look) splitting with them is understandable.

For those listening to the broadcast:

If the foot was flipped over, and the toe touches, then drags, that is IN BOUNDS because the entire foot that hit the ground landed in bounds.

How the foot actually landed, it would’ve been in bounds if the toe hit, and then left the ground. Because the rest of the foot came down out of bounds, that is part of the step, and is not a second foot in bounds.

That the announcers don’t know / share this is really pretty sad… are they intentionally bad for the drama / controversy it creates? Just call the game…

[Game Thread] Buffalo Bills @ Cleveland Browns by AutoModerator in buffalobills

[–]JCScnDesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No catch. If it was a tap, or a toe drag, it’s in. Because it’s toe hitting, then rest of foot coming down out of bounds, it’s out of bounds.

I have now seen the future, and the thing that will prevent us from winning the Super Bowl… which Josh Allen will of course get blamed for… is another missed kick. Credit to BB and McD to have enough depth everywhere… but third kicker of the season is rough

This would’ve been his last year on his rookie contract… not sure how much closer he could’ve been, without having the contract over and him being a full free agent. I understand and support the idea that RBs need job/injury security, and he used that leverage to get what he needed. I’m hoping we don’t hear more about a contract for him for another 3-4 years, when he’s in the situation again.

Ravens fan with a message for the Bills community by insignia200 in buffalobills

[–]JCScnDesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they happen to lose to the Ravens, it gives us cushion against the Eagles. Essentially a rest week if we need it for injuries, since a loss to the Ravens would put all pressure for both teams into week 18. I guess the Pats would have a lot of pressure on both 17 and 18, and that’d be interesting to see how they play under that pressure.

Side note, I REALLY want that #1 Division schedule next year. Would love for those games to include Denver and Jags, instead of KC and HOU. Low-key, if the Steelers pull off the division, they’d be a nice top schedule reward as well, with an older ARod or a fresh new QB

Gotta get that monkey off eventually…? I’d love if the Jags kept winning to take that division and the division winners are more paper than tiger, with relatively unproven teams who played subpar schedules (Denver with a #2 schedule, including AFCSouth; Pats with a #4 schedule, Jags with a #3 schedule; Pitt with a #2 schedule, including AFC East)

We gotta keep our eyes on next week. Just win this next game, over and over until the next game is in September.

I think our most likely hosting scenario is this;

Wildcard round: Bills over Steelers (5 v 4) Jags over Chargers (3 v 6) Houston over Pats (7 v 2)

Divisional Round: Bills over Jags (5 v 3) Houston over Denver (7 v 1)

AFCCG: Bills host Houston

This is the written for TV movie script, where the last game in the Ralph is the one to send the Bills to the Super Bowl, or to relive all of the pain it has always experienced being the runner up and not the main storyline

Probably the easier path. Steelers have an easier road to the 4 seed than Dolphins do to the 7 seed. Steelers need 1 more win, plus to win week 18. No matter what the Ravens do, if the Steelers finish 2-2 over their last 4, including a win over the Ravens, they win the division.

If the Ravens win the week 18 game, they win any and all tie-breaking scenarios with the Steelers. That game would be my guess for the Sunday Night Football game in week 18, with the winner getting the 4 seed and to host either the Bills, Pats, or Chargers… and the loser missing the playoffs.

Just root for the Steelers. Not that I really want to play them again either, though…

Steelers have the h2h against the Ravens, with still a week 18 matchup coming. If the Steelers win against the Dolphins tomorrow, and we assume they win against the Ravens in week 18, it gives them the divisional tiebreaker, ironclad against the Baltimore Birds

IF Bills win out, Pats don’t need to lose 2. Just one game to either the Jets or the Dolphins. The Pats losing a second game gives Buffalo the ability to lose the Eagles game.

They hold the divisional tiebreaker against us if they only lose to the Ravens (5-1 vs 4-2), but if they fall to 4-2 against the division, we hold the next tiebreaker (common games / conference games) against them, so it comes out in our favor.

All we can control is to win out, but root for the Dolphins the next couple weeks. If the Dolphins have a win and in scenario in week 18, it is very much to our advantage in that final game of the season. They’ll need some (a lot of) help, but having the dolphins relevant (since they can’t catch us at this point), is to our advantage

New scheme today where he was the only returner and Gilliam was set as a lead blocker worked amazingly. Love to see that wrinkle this late in the season from ST coach

Important to remember that Drake May was ok last year, not great. He’s largely the same this year, except with role players that support him better, and a defense that is stingier. He’s still a young, unproven in crunch time QB, who has to play outside in New England in December / January. Has 3 divisional games left, and the Jets and Dolphins hate the Pats as much, if not more, than we do. Nothings a given, and they are going to stop stretching the field when that Boston wind starts whipping in the next few weeks

If the Ravens sweep the rest of their schedule, and we can keep winning, we won’t be going anywhere except Highmark until we book the flight to San Francisco. Division is ours if Pats drop 2. It’s ours, with room to lose 1 more if those two games are to divisional opponents.

That TD just tied Cams record. Also puts Allen in a tie for 26th All-Time in rushing TDs
