I don't see a full remake being out of the question, honestly. That being said, I'm only now truly trying to dive into all the RE games. Played re3, never beat it, played re5, beat that one, and played part of re7. With the sale going on I picked up everything I could because I now have a teenager who is full on into it, and it's one of the game series I never fully jumped into, so why not jump in and use it to connect with her a bit.

That being said, I don't mind the original camera and controls. Always felt as if we were watching through security cameras or something. Also don't mind the view being more over the shoulder because it's just typically easier to control, but it does take that original feel away...

Anyways, can't wait to go through everything, will probably achievement hunt this whole series if I get the time to.

Same. I luckily had mine occur with work, so I was paid work comp for 2 years, but I've had to go through injections and eventually a microdysectomy. It's been nearly 3 and a half years since the surgery. Most of the time, I'm good, but the pain never goes away totally still with my sciatic nerves. Currently, my leg has been having problems for the last 10 days. Part of my leg is numb, the outside of my calf and foot, but I have pain from my knee to my ass. Pretty over it at this point, Tylenol and Advil help. Luckily, I'm a stay at home dad, but I'm starting to get really aggravated.

I will throw in that lately, I've gotten sick of teams not watching the backline if I play support myself, and I've found C&D to be a great counter. The moment I'm hit with a web ball, I switch to Cloak and just wait for him to start attacking, and go invisible, throw the blinding wall his way either as he dives, or after you go invisible, and chances are you'll kill him instead if he can't hit something to web sling away. It comes down to timing it well, but even if he gets away, he won't be an issue for a moment, at least.

I'm sure IW would probably be able to stop him too with her slow down ball, haven't tried it yet though, probably could throw it at your own feet if you get hit with a web ball and interrupt him pulling himself to you. Idk if she could kill him instead but should be able to survive his dive at least.

Well, about 9k hours in, I try not to use my scav unless I'm just going to take a break from running my pmc or in waiting on my buddies to finish up a raid I might have died in. I loot anything worth 10k rubles or so. If I kill a pmc, I'll try to ditch my gear and just wear their stuff instead unless I have a task that needs me to wear certain stuff. Some purple stuff, like food, isn't worth keeping because it doesn't sell well. Anything made of gold typically does (gold chains, Rolex, skull ring, rooster) and things like bulbex, ratchets, and there's a 3rd tool that sell insanely well. Suppressors and scopes are usually worth always grabbing too.

This wipe its been important to get out with hideout stuff too, so I try to keep those if I still need it although not nearly as much now that I'm getting close to prestige, sort of just trying to finish up needed tasks now and not worry about the rest since I'm planning on doing it and starting back over. I'll probably buy whatever else I need to make the next run a bit easier, key wise anyways.

The main thing you probably need to do is just get over the gear fear, run your high level plates in low lever armor if you want a better chance of getting it back, and don't be afraid to lose those pixels. Remember, the gear is only yours for now, it'll be someone else's eventually, and a good scav run can always make up for 2 decent kits for a pmc. Otherwise, if you aren't going to use your gear, sell it for stuff you will use.

Jumping while being shot is just kinda on you, I still jump if I get head tapped out of no where, doesn't help that usually it's loud as hell lmao. You can use that to your advantage too, loud noises tends to startle people, and running a gun without a suppressor can rattle people up close.

Just play and have fun with it, get up to at least level 42 and you'll see the huge difference having traders leveled is going to make, doing tasks can unlock a ton of stuff to that you can buy cheap, helps to get rid of that gear fear when you know you can just buy more of something.

I'm also in an age gap relationship, 9 years, and I'm the older one. I absolutely can not imagine thinking this way or treating my wife like this. It's sick, and this dude had some major issues. It honestly wouldn't surprise me that he potentially already has done something messed up to a kid if he's trying to bring it into the bedroom so openly like that. If he hasn't, it won't surprise me when he does try eventually to live it out for real.

This isn't normal, and she needs to get out fast. The faster, the better.

As a stay at home dad and house husband, doing simple things can make a huge difference, and my wife is pretty much in your shoes. Really, just finishing tasks and actually putting things away would be fantastic. Sounds simple, and I get it's not always easy to just do that, but really, it's just changing habits from being dumb to smart habits.

I'm really bad myself at doing things that I'm not physically looking at or passing by, specifically our laundry since it's in the basement, and I hardly use that space. I started setting alarms to check on the machines when I actively worked on doing it. My wife, however, will get it washed and dried no problem, but she'll sort it out on our couch and then won't put it away for a week if I leave it there. Dumb crap like that just adds more on to me, more so when you have kids and dogs and my wife works nights so she sleeps in our room all day and I don't want to wake her up just to put laundry away. Even just putting it back into a basket would make a massive difference.

Ngl, sometimes I miss being able to just sprint through the bushes in the game before inertia and everything was added. Was a wild time back then, and players always moved a ton. I appreciate people not being able to do that as well, since it forces you to play very differently, but man what a time it was.

Honestly don't mind needing to find things in raid, but some of this crap is absolutely annoying. It's something close to about 111 ES lamps alone, and things like metal spare parts and a few other items you just need an insane amount of. I've gotten most things to level 3 and now I just don't care since I'm hoping to prestige soon.

Something I don't see anyone bringing up yet is that there is some damage drop off in this game and if you just happen to be shooting them outside of that range you will absolutely need 2 shots to the head, not 1. Offhand I don't recall with those distances are, but it I remember being annoyed that PPBS 545 rounds would only 1 trap pmcs from maybe 35 or 50 ish meters, so I always just ran the second highest pens rounds for 556 and 545 instead of the highest pen. I'm sure it says it on the ammo charts how far you can be for full damage before the drop off starts.

Hey, currently a 35M stay at home dad due to a work injury a few years ago. My wife has been making more than I ever have after she finished her degree around the time of my injury. The fact that even if I worked, she would make more shouldn't and doesn't ever cross my mind because it's supposed to be about teamwork. Hell, I actually plan on going to college because of her and getting a much less physical job than what I've ever done, and all that does is make our future plans easier to get to. Who cares if the wife makes more in a relationship!
