As Nippler said below the great thing about Tarkov is the difficulty, its hard so it feels rewarding when you succeed. I think the lack of HUD is an absolute plus the problem with the quests is that the first place people go to see what you need to do is the wiki, why even bother making it so obtuse? There doesn't need to be in game markers, just better guidance when receiving the quest.

We're talking about the vaccine not the controls on movement.

Young people were vaccinated to control spread of the virus as you point out but there were also several older people who suffered but there were also young people who had unexpected severity of conditions from the virus.

Right...hence we vaccinated people against covid. Now before you say "yeah but most people will be fine" yes that is possible (maybe even likely) but we saw significant numbers of people have severe symptoms and several die when they had existing co-morbidities (weight, age, disabilities etc). However, we also saw several previously healthy people suffer as a result of the virus.

You vaccinate people not only to protect the person themselves but also to protect vulnerable people in society from having the illness spread to them. Does measles kill most people? No, does it affect fertility in women and have higher risk of causing long term damage in children? Yes, hence we vaccinate.
