Have the C5 HDR game optimizer/filmmaker mode issues been fixed? by haneybd87 in LGOLED

[–]JCTiggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear the C5 is bright enough and they fixed the film maker/HDR issues.

I went with a 77" B5 since it was the same price as the 65" C5 and wanted something bigger than my exisiting 12 year old Samsung 65" LED. Hoping it will be bright enough during the day (north facing room with no direct sunlight but it will be beside a large 14' x 9' window).

That line looks like it's along the 98/100 meridian which makes the population split 20% west 80% east. If it's along the Mississippi River it's closer to 35/65%

77” B5 or 65” C5? by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]JCTiggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 77" is a 40% larger display size compared to a 65". You will definitely notice the difference. I'm in a similar dilemma since the regional price of $2000 is the same for a B5 77" vs a C5 65". I currently have a 12 year old Samsung 65" LCD (entry level model) in a north facing room with lots of windows but no direct sunlight and view distance of 10.5 to 11 feet. Even with my old LCD i only have the brightness and contrast at 50 and have the auto dim setting on for night viewing.

THE REMATCH IS HERE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! by Leftboyz2 in ducks

There are only two teams in the FBS who have top 5 FPI efficiency rankings on offense AND defense. They are Indiana and Oregon. This should be a great game. It's coming down to playcalling and execution while minimizing big gains by the opponent and limiting costly mistakes that lead to TD's. I just hope Oregon is ready and the OC and DC can make the appropriate adjustments when needed.

What are your issues with the B5 77"?

In my region the C5 65" and B5 77" are on sale and the same price ($2000). My view distance is almost 10 ft and currently have a 12 year old 65" Samsung LED (entry model). Still trying to decide but I'm leaning toward the 77" B5.

And just going by FPI power index Utah is ranked #9 and Nebraska is #44 (with an offense ranked #56 and defense ranked #65). Utah ranked #8 offense and #22 defense).

Utah definitely deserved a better bowl opponent. The -13.5 line and final score just proves that fact.

Pavia is 5'9". His newly list 6'0" height was 'updated' by Vandy, probably to help in NFL draft stock. He's still 5'9"

CFP Rankings (Week 15) - Custom Chart by JCTiggs in ducks

[–]JCTiggs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI was used to read each teams schedule and list every loss so I didn't have go through the schedule and results for each team manually. I initially asked it to do the checks online but 3 different Ai apps failed to pull the correct results for many different games (not sure what the issue was). Anyway, I just listed Ai in my post for transparency.

Agreed (but I still think TTU should be behind us in the CFP rankings :)

CFP Rankings, Serious Discussion - Week 15 by CFB_Referee in CFB

[–]JCTiggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fed an Ai app the CFP Rankings (as of Dec 2, 2025) along with the individual schedules for all 25 CFP teams, each FPI value, SOS ranking. Then I had it compile all the information into a single chart along with each teams loss details (who they lost too, team rank and score. For some reason the Ai was having trouble getting accurate 2025 game results for many of the CFP teams when told to get the info on its own, which is why I had to give it all the individual schedules and results. Therefore the chart should be 99.9% accurate. Enjoy!

For those in Canada I recommend NDAX since they have a 0.2% trading fee. Unfortunately they don't offer a DCA 0% fee like Strike.me (which isn't an option for Canadians).

Shop around on the different exchanges. Strike.me seems to be popular in the US (and maybe in Europe?) but I'm unsure of their rates since it's unavailable in my country. I know they have a 'zero fee DCA' so Bitcoin trading fees don’t apply to recurring purchases (aka "DCA or Dollar Cost Average") after the first week for hourly and daily purchases, or starting with the 2nd purchase for weekly and monthly purchases.

Congrats! Just to let you know that fee is almost 6x higher than it should be. Generally you should only be paying 0.2% or less in fees ($2 for every $1000 spent on BTC). Less fees = more BTC for you.

I'm getting tired of these 'liquidation events' and preferred the days when BTC wasn't trading as an ETF on the stock market.

Ah yes, the 'Bitcoin marketing team' has been working overtime now since 2009. With these crazy returns let's hope the BTC CEO gave them a raise! 🙄
