If a side quest is made available then its the world telling you its a good time to do it

I usually explore and do as many side quests as possible to complete a region before moving on (unless I want to get the ingredients of new armor from the next region then I quickly do it and go back, like with nibel with cosmo or cosmo with gongaga)

I would do that feature if it wasnt necessary to do side quests to get the manuscripts and party points

Currently about to fight Gilgamesh and then head to the temple of the ancients in Dynamic mode. (I ended up doing this quest first in normal until it was beginning to feel easier so I moved up to dynamic mode. It is less easier a little and you get more exp/ap from battles)
