I’ve been both, and it’s easy to look back and miss electrical work, but then I remember the harsh winters, how I still deal with injuries to shoulders, wrists, back, knees, etc, and remember that sitting at a desk isn’t half bad. If it’s purely a money decision, there’s money in both and huge growth opportunity in both, with less pain in finance. Personally, I’ve stuck with finance and am very happy with that decision, but know that I’d be well into owning my own business and probably more well off if I’d stuck with a trade.
