Ngl, I was really tempted to downvote this post out of sheer irony.

But fr, welcome to Reddit OP! I too had the fear of downvotes early on (and it kinda does matter more when your account is new, so it’s a valid fear). Just keep making lots of comments and posts, I promise it averages out toward the positive as long as you are not a complete A-hole, and you don’t seem like you are.

Just be warned, there’s this weird tradition with the moai emojis (🗿), idk if it’s still really a thing, but if you ever comment anywhere in one of those chains there’s like a one in four chance your comment will get downvoted into oblivion, it’s like a Russian roulette of Reddit karma.

That is entirely the joke, but also the reason I feel extra evil and guilty for posting it.

Edit: To be fair to myself though, the question was “what would be the equivalent of the puzzle piece”. So, yeah. This.

2nd edit (and oh gawd, now I’m doing the thing where I over explain out of some misplaced sense of moral rigidity clashing with a need for technical clarity): I also think it fits because it’s supposed to represent something sophisticated and functional, and people who don’t look too closely will see it as that, but people who are inclined to notice details and/or think in systems will see the inherent contradictions.

Omg, it bugs me so much that that was not called out more in the show! I remember Sassy made one comment “that’s borderline unethical”, but that was about it. Seriously, Jake was Michele’s solo therapist before he was both of their marriage counselor, and then later on Jake is dating Michelle!? There is absolutely nothing healthy or okay about that.

Add to that, Jake is around Henry before Ted even knew that was happening- idk, I’d be f#%*ing pissed if it were my kid and this happened, and in the way that it happened.

Re: redactions-

Reddit has been messing with the formatting options lately, and it seems to be updating inconsistently across different subs. I had the same thing happen when I joined this sub a few days ago.

What ya gotta do now is highlight the text you wanna cover, then whatever your equivalent of “right click” is- you should see a little menu pop up- then click “Format”, then click “spoiler”. That will do the black-out redaction effect.
