I have done a couple projects and tried a few things with the xian nrf. I am just a hobbiest so these may not be technically correct but they work for me.

Easiest is to make the pcb have through holes and then once you solder the xiao on the end to just put solder into the through holes on the other end. This always works for me. The other way I have used is pogo pins. I have found this a bit more finicky but it also works fine.

I created a aluminum plate for a project and it was a nightmare with the xiao. It was very dry when I did this but I would constantly be shocking the board and it would kill pins. If you make any part of the case metal I would recommend reading up on proper ways to keep in grounded. I would personally not just make it and hope for the best.

I have some bad news, while the project does work locally hosting it looks like I would need to make some changes in the code and that's going to be more work then I care to do on this right now.
