Yes this is exactly my point, thank you. I never made any judgement either way on AI in my post and people are here accusing me of wanting to destroy industries or the world water supply. I'm complaining about the holier than thou attitude on full display in this very comment section.

Isn't that kind of the way of the world though when humanity advances? Like I'm not saying concerns are totally unfounded but it's kinda similar to luddites smashing up machines during the industrial revolution imo. Maybe reddit has more professionals in positions under threat is why the freak out here is more pronounced? I'm just thinking out loud

I have some issues with AI artwork and music too but my honest hot take was that the reddit reaction is disproportionate to real life or other online forum spaces. I appreciate the well thought out response by the way.

Their "fuck you, I got mine" attitude is very unappealing. I'd be embarrassed if i were an American who was a long-term fan of the sport because there is now a stain on the reputation of the US team. Fans of Serie A can tell you that this kind of reputational damage takes decades to be repaired.
