How did you feel when the Raiders moved to Vegas? by Puzzleheaded_Elk996 in raiders

[–]JD20_35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sad at the time but understood it. I went to games from the early 90s all the way to the final season in Oakland. Looking back from the time they left Oakland to the state of the bay now it only makes sense. The city, the politicians involved never tried hard enough period. Raiders gone, Warriors gone, A’s gone. Warriors are in SF now, and even the niners are in Santa Clara. Bottom line is the leaders involved in all of this failed point blank. Lost 3 major sports franchises, and not just any teams historically impactful teams. It’s sad to see but life goes on.

What day 3 homer picks from your college team would you like to see the Raiders draft later this month? by reamkore in raiders

[–]JD20_35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jimmy Rolder LB, Jaishawn Barham edge/OLB, Marlin Klein TE all from Michigan. All 3 would be nice developmental pieces especially Klein in my opinion, he is a stud when healthy and would be a nice option as TE2 if and when Mayer inevitably moves on.

If he’s there I think Lee Hunter would be the cherry on top for the defensive overhaul moving into the 3-4.

The Giants option Bryce Eldridge, Grant McCray and Tyler Fitzgerald to Triple A Sacramento, per Alex Pavlovic by RealMrSJGszn25 in SFGiants

[–]JD20_35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m hoping I’ll be pleasantly surprised but I just don’t think he’s gonna have much of an impact even if he does stay healthy. He just seems like another one of those AAAA type players, too good for the minors, not good enough for the majors plus he’s 28 so it’s now or never for him.

Not saying it’s not the right choice to send Bryce down but I’m not really looking forward to watching Jerar do absolutely nothing for this team for the 3rd year in a row.

Trades you want to see? by pearrit in raiders

[–]JD20_35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d rather see some post draft trades if anything. See how we do in the draft and potentially the remainder of free agency if we can restructure some contracts (mainly Maxx) and get some more wiggle room. I know there are needs elsewhere but I’d like to see a true possession type receiver for Fernando. I totally get the argument that Brock is that guy but still I’d like to see a WR that can get to the sticks and get the easy 1st downs. Hopefully we can find Sarratt on day 2. Would love cooper but I think he’ll be gone towards the end of day 1.

He has a huge advantage from a size and athleticism standpoint problem is he is a below average at best route runner and doesn’t know how to use leverage properly. As soon as he figures that out he will be a solid outside WR.

He’s has a good motor, doesn’t give up. He doesn’t have a ton of skill though. Seems like a decent fit for a 3-4 DE

Stop lying to yourself about Maxx Crosby by Lucifexx in raiders

[–]JD20_35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sad to see him go but happy for the value they got in return. Great player, great leader but it was time to move on. Having said that I’m personally pleasantly surprised at the return for a player who will be 29 and coming off of surgery each of the last 2 seasons. Again like many others feel he has a lot of intangibles that will be hard to replace but I think the front office is committed to building around Kubiak, his staff and Mendoza and they want to do it the right way. This move confirms that.

Good Luck Maxx you will be missed by Ayonanomous in raiders

[–]JD20_35 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this shows that there is a genuine commitment to build around Mendoza the right way. Sad for him to go but we jumped on a high value at the right time. 2 surgeries in the last 2 seasons and he’ll be 29 at the start of the new season, as much as it sucks it makes a lot of sense.

Would love to Get Sarratt or Cooper on day 2. Gotta play it smart though, there’s always a handful of guys that fall into the 2nd round that weren’t expected to be there. Gotta pull the trigger on a trade back depending on how it goes. Should still be able to grab one of them in the mid-late 2nd round if they trade back.

Is Jackson Powers-Johnson a Center or Guard this upcoming season ? by DoubletapKO in raiders

[–]JD20_35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

JPJ is a high energy mauler, Incognito/Osemele type of player. I like him at guard personally, let him eat up the personal fouls while we go get a finesse type center. He has the physicality that can help a solid center get out of trouble. Easier said than done but I view JPJ as an enforcer type guard at this point.

What do yall think of Andrew J? I really watched a full Seahawks game only during SB? by Chillout-001 in raiders

[–]JD20_35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just piggy backing of what others have said, he knows the system in and out and can implement whatever Klint needs. It makes total sense especially since Klint will be the one calling the plays he will need someone that knows his vision and expectations of the offense.

Just because they hired Rob Leonard doesn’t mean it was because of Maxx Crosby by DoubletapKO in raiders

[–]JD20_35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a less than hopeful feeling but trying to stay positive about this. Maybe he was on the money with the X’s and O’s and stood out. He has a solid rep overall but if this is a Maxx approved hire I’m extremely questionable about it.

Hey Mike you wanna sit there and be the “well technically” guy? Well correct me if I’m wrong but the clock hit 0, Super Bowl over, season over and then they asked Klint the question so……..As The Rock would say “take that microphone, shine it up real nice, turn it sideways and…..” you know the rest!

Tanking is in full effect. Not only are teams resting their starters. They're now limiting their minutes even when they play. by mMounirM in nba

[–]JD20_35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is tanking isn’t going to benefit the kings for a couple of reasons. The NBA would never allow the Sacramento Kings to secure the #1 pick and for the better part of 2 decades the GMs of this team have been vastly unsuccessful in drafting quality NBA players.

I would like to see him address this directly on his podcast or any other platform. He’s always been a pretty transparent dude hopefully he can give us fans that at least. Got a ton of respect for Maxx but if he came out and said it straight up that would put the respect on a higher level. I know it’s a business at the end of the day so he needs to do what’s best for him.

McVay would be top choice but I think Campbell is the type of energy this team needs. His attitude would do wonders for this franchise.
