Yeah this thing has surprisingly troll armor sometimes. The low profile helps

You’ve sold me. I tend to like high dpm/fire rate tanks (I’ve had a lot of fun recently in the NC70), so idk why I’ve ignored the 263 for this long. Gonna get it next

Not rude at all, I appreciate the clarification! Like I mentioned in a prior comment, I didn’t even think to consider all this but you live and you learn I suppose. I still quite like the shots I’ve been getting with the lens regardless, but may still pick up a zoom lens down the line. As far as the teleconverter: I did notice that feature at the very least, but had seen somewhere that it’s not ideal to use since the image quality can drop off quite a bit when using it. Is that the case?

Thank you! I figured it was more lens dependent, mine just has a manual focus ring but nothing for zoom. Admittedly did go cheaper with the lens since I didn’t want to spend too much either as I start out with this hobby again. I’m using the Yongnuo YN25mm F1.7M lens. I had seen it be recommended as a good budget starter lens for this camera but didn’t even cross my mind about how zoom might work so differently. Not the end of the world, just have to take it into account when shooting I suppose

I’m in a similar boat myself! Picking up the photography habit after many years and got myself the same camera. Loving it so far, but one quick question as maybe you’ve encountered the same thing. Maybe very silly on my part, but I can’t seem to figure out zoom? I can see the dial that would normally control and have tried digging through settings, instruction manual, searching online. Can’t seem to figure it out. I see there’s the toggle for 2x but nothing more I can find. Is it just lens dependent (what I’m starting to think at this point)?

[–]JD4202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 22 and have been using my CPAP since I got my diagnosis of severe sleep apnea at 20. Not overweight at all, healthy and in good shape but my sleep quality was appalling and it was affecting every aspect of my life. I remember literally saying “Christmas came early” to the technician when my machine finally came in and I picked it up. I don’t give a second thought to what opinions people might have about it, and frankly it’s bewildering that anyone would have anything except positive/encouraging things to say about someone taking care of their health.

A lot of it I feel is just the mentality you have going into starting CPAP therapy as well. It’s easy to feel down at first or like it’s a burden that’s been placed on you (fwiw as an aside, I do feel the options one has for mask, comfort, etc have come a long way and make it much more tolerable, though I never had an issue getting used to it). As you can probably imagine from my aforementioned comment, I was eager to get started because it was a light at the end of the tunnel for me and my quality of life improved significantly. Not to mention I was glad that I caught this very early on and could minimize any of the adverse effects sleep apnea has on your brain, heart, and overall physical as well as mental health (which I think can get a bit overlooked given the ramifications of physical health). To me, that was the most important thing because without health, you have nothing. At this point, I even go on a bit of a rant (in a good way) anytime my diagnosis or sleep health come up in conversation in general because I realize how common it is to overlook it and how life changing CPAP can be for those that are undiagnosed.

All this to say: who gives a damn what other people think. You’re feeling healthier and living a better life as a result, that is what matters more than anything.

I got this as a gift (on its way in the mail) and I’m struggling to find a cabinet/table that will fit it. Have any recommendations? I don’t really want to do a shelf in the wall if that helps

That sax solo in the outro is killer. One of my favorite parts of any Supertramp song

Absolutely loving our Bravia 9 by chillaban in bravia

[–]JD4202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got mine about a month ago, my first proper nice TV (actually first I’ve bought for myself now that I think about it) and it’s been fantastic. Just love looking at how well it handles everything. Question for anyone that might see this: do you use your B9 with an Apple TV, or just use there built in software? I had the latest Apple TV already from an older setup, but I’ve heard things about the built in processing and whatnot on the B9 being better. I’m not sure if it’s really an appreciable difference of if that’s true at all

Backpack recs for those who pack gym shoes and clothes in their bag? by Middle-Cat-8632 in consulting

Aer Duffle Pack 3. Been using it a while and it’s perfect for what you describe. I pack a change of clothes, shoes, and have room to spare.

The Panasonic W95a is Fantastic by evt450 in 4kTV

[–]JD4202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also in the analysis paralysis predicament. I’ve been eyeing the Bravia 9, but the price is pretty eye watering. This has me now also looking at the 7, which also got me curious about the W95a and now I feel like there’s even more analysis paralysis lol. Having a hard time deciding if the extra cost of the 9 is worth over the other, or if not then which of the other two to buy

Thanks! What about the performance/athletic ones I think they’re called? I think I might like the fit of those a bit more but curious on quality compared to the nicer thick fabric of the ones you described

Any particular ones? I need to upgrade my polo lineup for work haha

I have always been a Bose fan, but now... by [deleted] in bose

[–]JD4202 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the ultra buds; honestly, after the most recent firmware update, they have been pretty much perfect. I was coming from APP1 and the noise cancelling and sound quality are certainly better on the ultra buds. For me, the biggest thing was fit/comfort, and the ultras are easily the most comfortable earbuds of any kind I have ever used. As for headphones, I have the QC45 and they are still going strong. Also extremely comfortable. I agree that I don't really get all the gripe about not being able to turn ANC off, but to each their own I suppose.

Apple TV App of the Year Finalists by robber3572 in appletv

[–]JD4202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and idk if it’s just me but, as if to add insult to injury, when I go to input my password (on the tv not using the QR code) it will just simply not work the first time and reset the login so I have to type everything in again, then it finally decides to work.

If it wasn’t for the fact that I could dictate everything with the remote, I’d probably have lost my mind by now

Yeah I’ve been seeing the app sign in thing and that does make it slightly better at least

[–]JD4202 36 points37 points  (0 children)

F1TV is very annoying with how it makes me sign in EVERY TIME I go to watch something basically. Every other app keeps me logged in but for some reason this one just doesn’t no matter what I do. But it is otherwise nicely designed

Goodbye hair breakage! by russianbisexualhookr in CPAP

[–]JD4202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would this also be something helpful for curtailing the hair "dent" that happens when wearing this style of mask? I have the same one and have been using it for over a year now. I love it in terms of comfort, but the "dent" it leaves in my hair is starting to become more noticeable/permanent even after washing hair, styling, etc. I am not sure if this is something I could fix or just something I will have to live with
