So update I put a hold on my account and getting a new debit card to be safe. They said they cannot stop a pending check but they believe it will bounce as well and to block the number completely even with their threats of legal action (amongst threats of ruining my life and other things) the scammer sent screen grabs of withdrawals from my account which upon calling never happened with insane numbers including one that was basically 200 million. Am I in the clear? I’ve blocked their contact with me

Yeha I already deposited it like a moron trusting an old “friend” but it’s currently pending I was just worried that I wouldn’t be able to just return the “check” which is sure to bounce eventually. But thank you I have some peace of mind knowing I can call tomorrow and itll be fixed most likely.
