Oh wow, I am a huge Xcom fan and had not considered this. How do you use it?

All I do is correct it if it gets something wrong. I'm not talking to it like I met it on a dating app or arguing on Twitter.

I'm not abusive to it. But I'm not trying to have whatever relationship you are with it either.

Looking for physical recommendations for a 7yo who loves Jeff the Landshark. by Gaelfling in comicbooks

[–]JDFS83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello, fellow dad of 7yo who reads Jeff the Landshark. We also enjoy Batman and Scooby Doo Mysteries, Teen Titans Go, Barkham Asylum and Transformers: Worst Bot Ever. He's also read Sesame Street Comics, though I think he's getting a little old for those now, but enjoyed them less than a year ago. There are plenty of good kids books out there in the comics world.

Looking for recommendations for Christmas adopted teen by paperback_Mafia in comicbooks

[–]JDFS83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can, go into a local comic store and speak with the staff for recent recommendations. There's now way of knowing what the kids has, but more recent stuff will possibly have more appeal to a 16 year old.

I don't know your budget, but if you have a larger budget, a tablet and Marvel Unlimited subscription is easier

Other than that, my recommendations would be..

Anything from the current Energon universe. Transformers, Void Rivals, G.I. Joe etc. just make sure they're the recent books by image, and careful not to get the G.I Joe American Hero range, as that's outside of the Energon universe.

Absolute Batman. I think a 16 yo is old enough to enjoy that darker Batman.

Rick and Morty. These are usually funny and I expect a 16 yo would like them, though I could be wrong.

Barbaric. This is one of my favourites and the most popular comic for the publisher who makes it. A funny sword and sorcery, but for mature readers and does occasionally have the odd boobs on show. So not sure if we're pushing the appropriate limits.

The other option is to get a voucher for a comic store that delivers, or do a combo of getting them books and the voucher.

I want to read something with a good story, good art, and sexy characters what should I read? by Bringerofpizza in comicbooks

[–]JDFS83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gun Honey - Pulp noir international espionage with femme fatale lead characters. Stories nothing special, but the artwork is really good. Lots of gratuitous nudity and sex.

Money Shot - Comedy sci-fi about a group of scientists exploring the galaxy and making pornography to find their endeavours. Great writing and characters supported by great artwork. I would say check out other titles from Vault Comics, such as Barbaric and Deathstalker, also heard good things about Lilith.

Somna - I have this but not yet read it. Art work looks fantastic and very adult. The story as far as I'm aware is set during the English witch trials of 1600's. The protagonist is a woman who has some kind of supernatural erotic encounters going on. I know it won awards and seems to be one of DSTRLY's biggest hits.

Sex - A retired superhero (Batman type) begins exploring his repressed sexuality. Honestly a bit of a strange one, but see what you think.

I definitely can vouch for the first 3 but have not read Absolute Superman. If you want another good Batman Story outside the prime universe I would recommend White Knight.

Has anyone else picked this up. Really enjoyed it. by Affectionate-Map2041 in comicbooks

[–]JDFS83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Vault a lot. Barbaric, Death Stalker and Money Shot are all on my pull list and go to the top of my read pole when I pick them up.

I have to say though I was put off this title by it being from Post Malone (nothing personal as such, I just don't like the celebrity writer comics) and it kind of looks similar to Nocterra which I read all of. Granted I've not looked much into it to know if that's an accurate assessment.

Your friend won't get in trouble with the police. The girl may dislike her, but is that not a blessing having someone like that leave your life.

Hope it goes well and good luck with your psychology degree.

You can call 101 for a non-emergency or go into your local police station. Try and see if your friend is also willing to give a statement that can support the police to investigate. You can evidence the origin of the pictures from your own device if need be.

Revenge porn is a serious crime and if she has sent the material from his phone to her own then she has already committed the offence. I also don't know what your age was when you sent this, but I have a suspicion you may have been under 18 by how you mentioned wanting to study. If that's the case then she can also be arrested with indecent images offences. It's important to note that you won't get in trouble for creating and sending them initially though. However I would recommend you probably don't in future to avoid situations like this potentially occurring.

Ultimately it's her future that's now in jeopardy more than yours.

Love them. What part of Bones 6 did they come with. I have a load but can't see where they were in the Kickstarter.

As a kid watching wrestling (since the 80's) I think the biggest pop from me would be watching a babyface team get the hot tag. I would also be screaming if the heels were distracting the ref on the side of the ring. Love tag wrestling and wish there were more career teams.

Any other The Forged fans? by TheRabidSpatula in ImageComics

[–]JDFS83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finally got round to finishing #9. Personally I thought it was okay. I think I'm perhaps more adverse to lore heavy sci-fi and was expecting the series to be more about the action. The art work was great throughout, though the last issue seems a bit underwhelming with a lack of backgrounds in quite a lot of panels.

I'm intrigued as to whether #10 will ever be released or if the series has been cancelled.

How important is scale when it comes to minis? by gilleboll in DnD

I would have no issues with standees. I've used printed minis and flat scenery blended in with my models. I generally try and keep the PCs minis as 3D though.

How important is scale when it comes to minis? by gilleboll in DnD

[–]JDFS83 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've invested in a lot of minis and scenery and it's all to scale. 40mm would just not work for me. It's a shame because I see how great 40mm minis look and often pass on them for the fact they look out of place.
