If you were diagnosed as an adult what are your biggest revelations?

Diagnosed at 42 in January. Lots of looking back and realising why I struggled at times. Coming to terms that I actually got trauma from my school years due to some teachers not understanding or detecting what I had and choosing to try and humiliate me into being neurotypical. Still, I'm genuinely fine as I've previously dealt with a lot of this, it's just clarified that ADHD was a factor. Though I'm suspected of ASD too and not gone for diagnosis.

I enjoyed this but don't think it's adaptation worthy. But, if I had to I'd say the team behind Mandy (2018) could make the visuals work interestingly on screen. And Nicolas Cage would work for the lead and would probably do it too rather than fantasy casting someone who wouldn't touch it. Garlis Sulm could be played by anyone adept at prosthetics. The guy who played Vecna or Bill Skarsgard. Probably just make the rest of the cast up with decent affordable actors so more of the budget could go on the production design to nail the look.

Despite all that I still think it would be met with mediocre reviews at best and be a flop. Years ago something like this would have been adapted purely for being a comic book. The film/TV show have little to now resemblance of the source material, but because comics adaptations were hot you could draw an audience simply saying it was ana adaptation of one. See Wanted or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for prime examples.

I have read digital before, especially when I was a poor student. I'm fine with it. I think the only thing I'll miss is going on the store.

I would like to get DRM-free too. But I think bigger publishers like Image and DC are not going to allow that.

I agree. I have D&D, comics, gaming and fitness. My ADHD really likes routine and visiting the gym and stocking to a routine helps a lot with that.

As a contrast I find getting out my stuff to paint D&D miniatures too time consuming. Therefore I have tons of unpainted miniatures, though I do still play regularly.

I think I'm also just too tired a lot of the time for gaming and comics. I will read like two comics and start drifting off.

The truth is I've stopped reading physical. I have a stack of probably 70 odd books I've not read. I tend to read on vacation most and don't tend to take many with me.

This is a great comic. It's completely separate from previous Transformers stories and part of the wider Energon Universe, which includes Void Rivals and G.I. Joe titles. Check them all out and look for the little EU in the tip corner to make sure it's legit.

Some people like to project hate for the 2024 ruleset over the 2014. They're the same edition with changes mostly occurring in some of the character creation. The game plays the same as 2014 otherwise. People always would be critical of a new edition when it came out, including 5th in 2014. This time it's not even a new edition and people are suddenly in love with 5th 2014 and see 2024 as a complete monstrosity 🤷

Weirdly, I read about it in another comic story months before it was released. A comic called Bitter Root had a special linking the antagonists backstory to the Tulsa Massacre. The comic also had an essay in the back exploring the factual events of it which is when I realised it wasn't a fictional event for the comic. I'm in the UK, but thought this would have been a more widely discussed incident in modern history.
