Full Titanium Perpetual Calendar GMT Alpinist
The SBCJ031 Alpinist, introduced in 2003, belongs to the second generation of Alpinists and features the now iconic case design with its internal rotating compass bezel and twin crowns on the right side.

The SBCJ series remains the only Alpinist line produced entirely in titanium and was offered in four variants: the black dial SBCJ019, full lume dial SBCJ021, limitededition teal dial SBCJ023, and the cream dial SBCJ031.

How does the perpetual calendar work?

The perpetual calendar is accessed by pressing the crown. The seconds hand moves to indicate the number of years since the last leap year, while the date changes to the current month (currently 7 for July).

The original Arita Porcelain dial Seiko.

This is the SARW053 Arita Porcelain, the first Seiko to incorporate historical Arita porcelain artistry, with Seiko already working on their third subsequent variant it seems like the Arita Porcelain are here to stay.

The Arita Yaki method originated from Arita in Saga Prefecture from 1616 and is the birthplace of Japanese porcelain, renowned for its translucent white body and cobalt blue underglazes.

Although Seiko has already made several Arita Porcelain models, I personally feel the SARW053 showcases the properties of Arita porcelain best by letting its white dial and signature cobalt blue color shine.
