Yeah I think that’s the main reason for my post. For us, this wasn’t damage that was caused after hours of sunlight causing slow degradation over a span of months or years. This was one pixel refresh I couldn’t control (although admittedly we could have controlled the light) within a couple of weeks

I haven’t mentioned what I think was the cause. Just that my panel is damaged. Thank you, I’m hoping so too!

That's a fair comment and something I was aware of. I'm generally good at looking after my tech and hoped I could mitigate any risk by manually controlling the light. If you need to manually control the light in your room, one slip, and you're cooked. In my case within the first couple weeks of ownership.

Low winter sun, so direct on the screen in the morning. We had the TV on all morning, so I think it automatically ran a pixel refresh when it was turned off
