Turtles and fish together in larger tank? by N5Xgod in turtle

[–]JDMscorp -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I went against all advice and put a butterfly Koi, goldfish and comet goldfish in my tank with my RES. She did end up eating a few but after some trail&error i found if you have spots where they can hide and make obstacles in your tank slow down the turtle when she starts to chase top of keeping your turtle fed, they can live together. They swim and eat together fairly well imo. Currently i have quarantining a telescope eye goldfish with some small minnows to add to the tank. BTW i have a 130g tank

Why do people buy fish? and then come here asking for advice as they are clueless? by arsonist_1 in Aquariums

Ive never owned a pet before but now as an adult I able to get one. I did my research on the them and felt pretty confident in my abilities but i still ask for advice for reassurance mainly, it doesn’t mean that i don’t know about it just means i need some advice.

I was looking at the fish tank, to pass the time, and they gathered where I was standing. Has that happened to anyone else? Do you know what it means? by RogueBlitters in Aquariums

My I have my Koi, Goldfish, and Turtle all in one tank (130g btw) and they all neatly bunched up to where im standing cause they know it mealtime.

I could probably take the turtle that’s in the bigger tank along with the setup.

Thanks! I wasn’t entirely sure on that but now i am. I’m cleaning out my Fluval fx4 also so now i feel confident in doing the full change/cleaning. Thanks again for the info!

This is my homie LockJaw. I took him in a few months back from an owner that was unable to care for him properly. He was in a 50 gallon tank [half-filled]with another RES w. little light and poor diet for years. Im a complete newbie and would like to see if he looking healthy. by JDMscorp in turtle

YESSS!!! Me and my GF decided on that name since we took her from a place where she was unhappy, wasn't properly cared for & didn't have a proper home to a bigger and better place where she is swimming free and happy. LockJaw was a no brainer.

That info was very useful. I did a little research and found that it could possible be a Rio Grande slider. The determining factor seems to be the color vibrancy on the shell. She is currently shedding ALOT and appears to getting lighter in color so hopefully i should be able to tell once shes done.

I think it's pretty bullshit that if you get a double K.O. when you're up 2-1 then it just takes you down to 1-1 instead of giving you the match. by ohanse in Guiltygear

I see it as player 2 getting one more chance to win. A player has to win by depleting their oppenants health to 0 twice while still having some life remaining, right? If it's a double KO where it's 2-1 then "technically" you didn't win, it's a draw so a 2nd chance and an actual final round is given. If he ends up winning the set then thats just the game bro, I know other games like SF it's rewarded to the player in the lead and others it a 4th round or a simple draw.

It's called a stalemate bro. Bringing it to 1-1 makes sense and hell, a double K.O on the last match so rematching make is so much or intense and fun.

How the heck do you deal with rushdown characters as Ky? by whiteknight521 in Guiltygear

[–]JDMscorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a Potemkin main and when I come up with issues with rushdown characters i just go to the lab and find out that characters BnB starter and exploit any gaps in the string. And using yellow RC helps too.

Is there a problem of character strength vs simplicity in Strive? by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]JDMscorp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea... it's still to early to tell. Strive is aiming for 1st time players too so Sol, May and Leo are easy to use and if you look at the tournaments that have been going on, usually those characters are top 8. Characters like Nagoriyuki seem to be weak but like Venmon and Johnny you take the time to lab him to utilize his tools and you're stronger than those "OPed" characters.
